Benjamin Netanyahu Calls President Trump Biggest Supporter of Israel

On Wednesday, President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a joint news conference at the White House, showing the world that the two nations stand side-by-side as strong allies.

While many in the media took note of President Trump’s comments about Israeli settlements and peace between Israel and their Palestinian neighbors, something else happened that the media doesn’t want to talk about.

During the news conference, Netanyahu made a strong statement, stressing “there is no bigger supporter of Israel than Trump.” That is a very stark contrast between the U.S.-Israel relationship under Barack Obama and this administration.

It’s no secret that President Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu had a contentious relationship during the last 8 years, with Obama repeatedly criticizing the nation and its security efforts. As a parting shot to Israel, the United States even abstained from blocking a United Nations resolution condemning the construction of new Israeli settlements. Netanyahu refused to sit by and allow Obama to criticize him and Israel, and would repeatedly speak out against the president’s anti-Israel views.

Something else happened during the Trump-Netanyahu press conference that caught a lot of attention, and the left wasn’t happy. For the second time this week, President Trump refused to take questions from the liberal media, instead opting to give journalists who are routinely ignored by the left a chance to ask a question. Predictably, the left freaked and had a total meltdown.

During Trump’s meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday, the president called on reporters from The Daily Caller and ABC 7 in Washington, D.C. and the liberal media had a collective fit.

Then, on Wednesday, President Trump opened his news conference with Netanyahu by calling on the Christian Broadcast Network, and the reaction from liberal journalists was embarrassing, as documented by Conservative Review:

Given how contentious the relationship between Obama and Netanyahu was, it’s refreshing to have a president in the White House that stands with Israel. Israel is one of America’s most important allies in the world, and President Trump has pledged to rebuild a vital relationship that was damaged during the past 8 years.

And as always, its refreshing to hear voices from outside the liberal media echo chamber for once!
