Former FBI Director James Comey’s hypocrisy was on full display during his testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Comey admitted he viewed President Trump as a liar with whom meetings needed to be documented.
This, despite months earlier saying Hillary Clinton, an actual known liar, had been so truthful with her statements that he didn’t need to record them or even be present during her interrogation.
The double standard is criminally offensive.
During his testimony, Comey said he began the practice of writing memos for President Trump, and President Trump only, because he “was honestly concerned that he might lie about the nature of our meeting.”
As it turns out, Trump was telling the truth about not being under investigation, something Comey readily admitted on three separate occasions.
In direct opposition to his handling of the President, Comey was thoroughly lax when it came to the Clinton investigation.
Not only did he fail to take notes, but the Director of the FBI – the Director! – neglected to record her hours-long interview and worse, wasn’t even present for the questioning.

Hillary Clinton did not swear an oath to tell the truth before meeting with the FBI for three and a half hours last weekend, and the interview was not recorded, FBI Director James Comey told House lawmakers on Thursday.

Comey himself was not among the “five or six” agents who interviewed Clinton, he testified on Thursday. But he assured lawmakers that Clinton told the truth throughout the session.
“I don’t think the agents assessed she was evasive,” he added.
Sounds a bit fishy …
Comey knew for a FACT Hillary had lied to the FBI about her illegal server, and yet never felt the need to take notes of their talks – hmmm.

This was the highest profile classified information case possibly in the history of our nation, and Comey told his agents, ‘You guys got this, right?’
Please.
In fact, Comey admitted that there was a clear ‘obstruction of justice’ incident in the Hillary case, when Loretta Lynch pressured him to refer to the probe of Hillary Clinton’s private email server a “matter,” and not as a criminal investigation.
So, where is that memo? Surely he was concerned. In fact, he declared it made him feel “queasy.” Why did he fail to document such an egregious attempt to sway the Clinton investigation?
Because only Trump lies. At least that’s what he wants you to believe.
