WATCH: Trump Points at Putin and Jokes ‘Don’t Meddle In the Election’

President Trump responded to a reporter’s question on whether or not he would warn Russian President Vladimir Putin about election meddling with a bit of humor.

The man’s trolling of the media has hit grandmaster levels.

Putin and Trump met at the Group of 20 (G-20) summit in Japan, their first meeting since special counsel Robert Mueller concluded his investigation and cleared the President’s campaign of colluding with Russia.

As several journalists shouted questions, Trump picked up on one asking if he would tell Putin not to meddle in the election. His response was tremendous …

“Yes of course I will [tell Putin],” he said, stifling a smirk. “Don’t meddle in the election, please. Don’t meddle in the election.”

He pointed at Putin while making the statement, a man clearly playing the role of adult in the room compared to the media children who just want to shout out Democrat talking points.

Ought to Make Everyone Happy

This will certainly appease all of Trump’s critics now, right?

Joy Behar, co-host of the view, recently complained that the President had met with Putin in the past and never addressed their interference in the 2016 election, an aspect that has been completely overblown by Democrats.

“Let’s talk about, you know, the fact that he met with Putin for 90 minutes … and never once brought up the fact that Russia, Russia interfered in our election,” Behar ranted.

She then attacked the President’s supporters and demanded they take off their American flag pins.

“I don’t want to see any of those flag pins anymore on Republicans who don’t stand up against this guy for Russian meddling,” she continued.

Can we wear our flag pins again, Joy? Since Trump’s now officially on record?

Trump Has Done More to Combat Russia Than Obama

In fact, Trump has now done more to stop Russian election interference than Barack Obama ever did.

Obama knew Putin was interfering in our election while it was happening and chose to do nothing about it. It was his former National Security Advisor Susan Rice who reportedly issued a ‘stand down’ order to officials who were developing plans to respond to Russian election meddling attempts in 2016.

Reporters should be asking a different kind of election interference question – Mr. President, will you go after Democrats who meddled in the 2016 election?

Now that’s something we’d like to see.
