Vanity Fair’s annual Best-Dressed list features Barack and Michelle Obama in the couples category, but noticeably snubs First Lady Melania Trump.
It was the third time the Obamas have been honored on the list.
“Heads of state are particularly well represented this year,” a Vanity Fair press release reads, “with former president and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama honored for the third time.”
The women’s list included such fashion connoisseurs as musical artist Rihanna, Queen Letizia of Spain, and actress Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Joining the Obamas in the couples category were Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron of France, and King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
Now granted, I’m no fashion expert, but come on!
Melania has turned heads nearly everywhere she’s gone. Her high heels were a national story just days ago – because she allegedly looked too good boarding Marine One to survey Hurricane Harvey damage.
Here she is at her G20 European tour …

Newsweek attempted to justify the snub by suggesting Michelle Obama was far more frugal when it came to purchasing the clothes she wore. They conveniently forgot the $12,000 designer gown she wore to a state dinner in 2014.
The reality might just be what Fox News host Tucker Carlson has previously said about Melania – they’re jealous because she looks appropriate 24/7.
.@HeyTammyBruce: People are jealous of @FLOTUS and so they attack her. She always looks appropriate. #Tucker @FoxNews

You know, as opposed to this …
Or maybe the best response comes from Italian designer Stefano Gabbana, of the world-famous Dolce & Gabbana, who thanked Melania for wearing his clothing designs during the aforementioned White House portrait.
He told critics they can “go to hell.”
Vanity Fair can pretty much follow the same advice.
