On Friday, former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard blamed the “military industrial complex” for stoking war between Russia and Ukraine for profit.
Gabbard made her remarks during an interview on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
Tulsi: President Biden could end this crisis and prevent a war with Russia by doing something very simple: guaranteeing that Ukraine will not become a member of NATO… pic.twitter.com/VH4Pyev36e

Gabbard echoed former President Eisenhower’s famous warning on Saturday, saying, “The neocons/warmongers have spent years stoking the new cold war with Russia and have now brought us to the brink in Ukraine—this serves their own interests, and lines the pocket of the Military Industrial Complex with trillion$. Let’s not be sheep.”
Gabbard included her recent interview with Tucker Carlson, in which she told the conservative host, “What we have, unfortunately, is Democrats, Republicans, the mainstream media, the Washington elite essentially in the pocket of the military industrial complex.”

“And rather than looking out for what’s in the best interest of the American people, our national security, our country — they see dollar signs when they look at Ukraine,” Gabbard said. “They see how they can line their pockets, how they can look tough, how they can posture themselves in a position where they personally or politically or financially benefit rather than actually thinking about what are the costs and consequences of these actions.”
“And who pays the price?” Gabbard asked. “It’s the American people — and, frankly, the people of Ukraine.”
The former Congresswoman from Hawaii has been on a tear lately, sounding the alarm on the disastrous consequences of a full-scale war against nuclear Russia, particularly when our economy is so weak:
Confrontation/war with Russia is and will be very costly to the American people, beginning with increased inflation, making it harder for us to afford gas, food, and other necessities of life. But Biden Admin and warmongers, Republican and Democrat, couldn’t care less. pic.twitter.com/9B7qbx7LtY

Carlson Worries Leaders’ Ineptitude Will Get The U.S. Into Another War
Carlson said he didn’t know if leaders actually wanted war, but that their overall ineptitude could push the U.S. into one.
“They’ve got a long track record of ineptitude,” Carlson said. “Are you worried about that?” he asked.
Gabbard replied, “I’m deeply concerned about that, because that’s very much the direction that we are headed. You know, Tucker, I look back to early 2017, when then-President Trump said, ‘Hey, it would be good if we got along with Russia.’ You remember the reaction to that.”

Carlson responded, “That was insane.”
“Everyone from, you know, Democratic leaders, Republican leaders, people in the mainstream media, they said absolutely no way,” Gabbard added.
She continued, “There were people in Trump’s own administration, warmongers like John Bolton, Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo, who outright rejected it and went on their own agenda.”
“And we’re seeing the results of this now,” she added.
