Tulsi Gabbard Blasts Democrats: ‘We Don’t Have Leaders Who Actually Respect The American People’

Tulsi Gabbard Declares ‘We Don’t Have Leaders Who Actually Respect the American People’

Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard blasted her own party – in particular their disdain for the American people.

Gabbard said Monday night that the Democrat Party’s overall lack of respect for the public is going to continue to be an obstacle for them moving forward, particularly regarding electoral viability.

Gabbard made her comments during an interview on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

Former Rep. Gabbard: ‘What I see is this continued disrespect of the American people’

In particular, Gabbard told host Sean Hannity, was the visceral reaction of Democrats and the media reactions to seemingly innocuous, banal positions like parents having a say in what public schools teach their kids.

Gabbard wondered whose interests these politicians and journalists truly have in mind.

“What I see is this continued disrespect of the American people,” Gabbard told Hannity.

She continued, “That’s — if we look at the underlying problem here is that we don’t have leaders who actually respect the American people, who actually respect us enough to listen to what parents are concerned about — you know, their children and their education, to listen to the American people who are sick and tired of the power elite, trying to tear us apart based on the color of our skin.”

Again, for Gabbard, respect was the primary issue.

“They don’t respect us enough to listen,” Gabbard added.

“So how can we ever expect them to actually act in our best interests rather than the interests of themselves, their power, or the power of the elite?” the former congresswoman said.

Gabbard Called McAuliffe Defeat In Virginia Last Week A ‘Victory For All Americans’

Last week, after Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s lost to Republican Glenn Youngkin in Virginia’s governor’s race  Gabbard tweeted, “McAuliffe’s loss is a victory for all Americans. Why? Because it was a resounding rejection of efforts to divide us by race, the stripping of parental rights, and arrogant, deaf leaders.”
