President Trump issued a challenge to Congress, particularly Senator Lindsey Graham, urging them to call Barack Obama to testify about a slew of wrongdoings revealed in recent days.
Graham, the Senate Judiciary Chairman whose panel is investigating the origins of the 2016 Russia investigation, indicated earlier this week he would be calling former senior Obama administration officials as witnesses.
New developments have the President fired up, however, demanding more. Much more.
“If I were a Senator or Congressman, the first person I would call to testify about the biggest political crime and scandal in the history of the USA, by FAR, is former President Obama,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “He knew EVERYTHING.”

No More Mr. Nice Guy
The President chided Graham saying, “No more Mr. Nice Guy,” and “no more talk.”
“Just do it.”
In an interview on Fox Business Network Thursday, Trump called the unmasking of General Michael Flynn “the greatest political crime in the history of our country” and demanded jail time for those involved.
“People should be going to jail for this stuff and hopefully, a lot of people are going to have to pay,” he said.
“If I were a Democrat instead of a Republican, I think everybody would’ve been in jail a long time ago, & I’m talking with 50-year sentences…people should be going to jail for this stuff…this was all Obama. This was all Biden”: Trump suggests Obama & Biden should be in prison pic.twitter.com/MOwPvpYRu4

Graham Says ‘No’
Graham, while indicating members of Obama’s inner circle such as former acting Attorney General Sally Yates and former FBI Director James Comey would testify, has said he doesn’t foresee Obama under oath.
“I’m not anticipating calling President Obama,” Graham told Politico.
The Politico report indicated other Senate Republicans similarly declined the President’s request to investigate the former President.
WOW. ??????
Sen Rand: “I fear some people who don’t want to investigate Obama are the same people, LINDSEY GRAHAM, ( yes he said it), who don’t want FISA reform because they love the power of the intelligence community to snoop on anyone, incl. Americans”. pic.twitter.com/zcuntmYcbK— Juanita Broaddrick (@atensnut) May 12, 2020
Graham shouldn’t really have a problem considering such a move.
Last September, the Republican congressman expressed interest in seeing former Obama questioned under oath about the counterintelligence investigation against the Trump campaign.
That was before proof that the FBI tried to entrap General Michael Flynn. Before a list was published of people in the Obama administration who tried to unmask and publicly name him – a felony – was declassified. And before Obama got caught in the Russia collusion hoax.
It isn’t hard to believe that Democrats, the moment Trump is out of office, will force him to testify on a variety of matters. Time for Graham to grow a spine and call Obama.
