Trump Slams NBC Reporter: ‘Stop Being An Organ of the Democrats’

President Donald Trump blasted NBC News’ reporter Peter Alexander on Wednesday for pretending to be a journalist when he was behaving more like a liberal activist. The President even said NBC was worse than CNN.

After Alexander kept shouting questions at Trump, some of which could have come straight from the Democratic National Committee, the President finally had enough.

‘Stop Being An Organ of the Democrats’

“If you’d stop being an organ of the Democrats, you’d let me answer the question, I’ll answer it very easily, it’s a very simple question,” Trump said to Alexander.

When Alexander continued to yell questions at Trump after the first exchange, Trump unloaded on the reporter.

“This guy is the most biased reporter, NBC,” Trump said. “Peter is such a biased (reporter). You should be able to ask a question, same question, in a better way. You are so obviously biased and that’s why the public has no confidence in the media.”

Trump: ‘I Think CNN Has More Credibility Than NBC News’

“NBC News has less credibility with guys like you than CNN,” Trump added. “I think CNN has more credibility than NBC News.”

Walking over to a CNN reporter, Trump said: “Did you hear what I said? I said you have more credibility than this guy and that’s not saying much, you know why? Because I don’t think you have very much credibility. NBC has less credibility than CNN, that’s not saying much.”

Alexander replied to Trump on Twitter, writing, “Trump called me ‘an organ of the Democrats.’ Here was the question he didn’t like: ‘You said Russia was kicked out of the G8 because they outsmarted Obama; in fact it was because they annexed Crimea… They’re still there, why let them back in?’”

Would Peter Alexander Talk to President Barack Obama This Way?

But Alexander’s claim rings false. It wasn’t the supposed difficulty of a question that seem to set off Trump, but the repeated obnoxious shouting.

Who wouldn’t tire of that?

Of course part of a reporter’s job is to be aggressive in getting comments from political leaders and especially the President.

But there’s also basic decorum.

Would Alexander have behaved this was to Barack Obama? Will he behave this way to the next Democratic president?

Doubtful. Donald Trump accused Peter Alexander and his employer of being an “organ of the Democrats.” He’s right.
