Trump Raises More Than $5 Million Dollars On Day Of Impeachment

Last night, history was made. The 45th President of the United States became the third president in American history to be impeached at the hands of the House of Representatives.

The vote was nearly unanimous with just two Democrats voting against the impeachment – and absolutely no Republican voted in favor. The partisan decision is the first of its kind, but while Democrats have been celebrating Trump’s impeachment like it’s Christmas, they aren’t going to be happy when they see his latest fundraising numbers, which prove just how much their efforts against the president have backfired.

Trump Appears At Michigan Rally

Thousands of miles away, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Trump stood on stage at a 2020 Presidential rally, confident that Capitol Hill was making a huge mistake. Trump is the first impeached president to actively seek reelection. At the rally, Trump did not disappoint the nearly 7000 supporters who packed the arena and overflow areas outside. The President seemed untouched by the double article adoption, telling his devoted fans and followers that he was “having a good time,” and wasn’t worried in the least.

“It doesn’t really feel like we’re being impeached,” Trump said. “The country is doing better than ever before. We did nothing wrong. We have tremendous support in the Republican Party like we’ve never had before.”

And in spite of the events in Washington, Trump followers showed their support outside of Michigan – with their bank accounts and cold hard earned cash.

Trump Raises $5 Million On Day Of Impeachment

Trump’s 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted of the president’s “incredible fundraising numbers” — over $5 million dollars was raised on the very day the president was impeached as “American’s use their wallet to show support against @SpeakerPelosi’s impeachment hoax!”

On Sunday, Parscale reported campaign collections of roughly $10 million in just a week’s time.

With his approval rating at 45%, the country continues to be divided and as of Wednesday only 46% of those polled support the impeachment and removal. Conversely, more than half are in opposition of the act.
