President Trump on Tuesday mocked congresswoman and ‘Squad’ member Rashida Tlaib over video showing her being forcibly dragged out of a campaign event in 2016 by Secret Service agents, noting that she’s “a crazed lunatic.”
Trump’s remarks came as a video showing the incident went viral earlier this week.
Tlaib can be seen in the video repeatedly trying to break free of the grip of security members escorting her from the facility. She screams, “You guys are crazy!” at those in attendance.
“I was grabbed by several security personnel who physically moved me to the exit while I continued to express my concerns,” the state legislator at the time wrote in the Detroit Free Press.
Trump Mocks Her
Speaking before a student group for Turning Point USA, Trump said that Tlaib appears to be out of control, referencing the video as well as others that showed her using vile language in promising to impeach the President.

Trump wanted to know who exactly thought she’d make a good lawmaker.
“She’s like a crazed lunatic. She’s screaming just before she got into Congress. Who elected her?” he asked. “She’s screaming like a total lunatic at one of our rallies.”

“This is not a sane person, folks, when you look at that,” the President accurately explained to the crowd. “And this is what we’re up against.”
Tlaib Still Vows to Impeach
Tlaib told a crowd at the NAACP convention in Detroit that she wasn’t going anywhere “until I impeach this president.”
“Donald Trump has given permission to people who used to stand in sheets in the middle of night to stand in the light in front of the microphones,” she said, further bolstering the President’s claims of mental instability.
Additionally, she never really addresses her own bigotry and radical behavior. Bigotry and radicalism which includes:
- Said thoughts of the Holocaust provide her a “calming feeling.”
- Calling critics of her Holocaust distortion “racist idiots.”
- Having a long history of associating with terrorists.
- Supporting the BDS movement and posing for photos with a campaign fundraiser who promoted anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
“There’s no way she stands for the values of the people of Michigan,” Trump said of Tlaib.
There’s no way she stands for the values of Americans either.
