Media Upset About Damaging Story on Trump Being Buried, Didn’t Care When Obama Benefited From It

The National Enquirer parent company reached a “non-prosecution” settlement with the federal government over a $150,000 payment made to a woman who alleged she had an affair with President Trump.

Mainstream media companies have been jumping all over the story as proof that a Trump-friendly publication helped bury negative stories about him and thus swayed the election, something they seemed to care little about when it came to Barack Obama.

American Media Inc., the Enquirer’s parent company, is controlled by David Pecker, who has been a longtime friend of Trump’s. Pecker worked in concert with former lawyer Michael Cohen to make a $150,000 payment to Karen McDougal, who allegedly had an affair with Trump before the 2016 election.

Outrage on the left is palpable, as they believe this amounts to evidence that Trump and the media coordinated efforts to control the outcome of the election. How soon they forget …

Two times Obama and the media tried to suppress a story before the election

Having a lawyer pay somebody to keep quiet before an election is now considered a crime of the highest order for those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Having a media outlet help bury a story that could portray a candidate in a negative light is now journalistic malpractice for those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

As with nearly any story in the Trump Era, there is always something parallel that happened during Barack Obama’s presidency or candidacy that the media yawned at. They don’t seem to realize that their unwillingness to care when Obama did it is exactly why we have a President Trump, and exactly why the American people don’t care this time around.

Media buried politically devastating Farrakhan photo

Obama benefitted from an impressive effort by the media to bury a controversial picture of him palling around with the Nation of Islam leader, vile anti-American, and noted anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan.

The photo was taken in 2005 at a Congressional Black Caucus meeting but didn’t see the light of day until 2018, well after Obama had successfully served two terms as president.

The photographer brazenly admitted he hid the image from public view because he believed it would have “made a difference” to Obama’s political future.

Journalist Askia Muhammad confessed he made “a promise to keep the photograph secret.”

“After the nomination was secured and all the way up until the inauguration; then for eight years after he was President, it was kept under cover,” Muhammad said.

Will the media now relitigate the 2008 election over a buried photo?

Obama tried to pay Jeremiah Wright to go away

Paying somebody who might be detrimental to your campaign isn’t a new phenomenon, though you would think otherwise if you’re to believe today’s media.

Remember their full-blown outrage when Jeremiah Wright, the longtime friend and pastor for Obama, a militant, racist preacher who once cried, “God Damn America” and blamed the United States for the 9/11 terror attacks, revealed that he had been bribed to go away? Yea, we don’t either.

Wright, in his own words, was indirectly offered $150,000 by one of Obama’s “closest friends” to stop preaching until after the 2008 presidential election.

Will the media now relitigate the 2008 election over a payment to shut a lunatic up?

Of course not. When Obama does it, it’s perfectly acceptable. It only becomes a problem when Trump is involved.
