Ever since President-elect Donald J. Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in last month’s election, the American people continue to deliver the incoming president good news.

Whether it be the 60% of Americans who support the Carrier deal, the public has spoken, they want Trump to pursue his economic agenda immediately!

And while the liberal media is freaking out over what Trump will do with his vast business empire when he assumes office, the American public believes the president-elect shouldn’t be forced to sell his business.

A new poll conducted by Bloomberg Politics finds that 69% of Americans would be fine with Trump’s stated plans for his businesses and that he should not be forced to sell his companies and those of his family.

At the same time, 67% of Americans do believe Trump needs to decide between being president and being a businessman.

From Politico:

A spokesman for Trump said Tuesday that the president-elect sold all of his stock last June, but the business mogul’s portfolio of assets goes far beyond that, with companies and real estate holdings around the world. Presidential candidates have historically pledged to place their assets into a blind trust once they arrive in office, a practice that in theory keeps them from making decisions in the White House based on their own financial interests instead of the nation’s. Trump’s pledge to give control of his companies to his children would fall short of meeting the blind-trust threshold.

Despite what the left would like you to believe, the majority of Americans, 51%, think President-elect Trump will “put the nation’s interests ahead of his family financial interests in his international dealings with foreign leaders.”

Do you agree with the 69% of Americans who believe Trump shouldn’t be forced to sell his businesses? Is the left creating a false controversy over the president-elect’s business holdings? Share your thoughts with us below!
