Therapists Recognize Symptoms of ‘Trump Anxiety Disorder’

Liberalism, long a mental disorder plaguing our nation, officially has a psychologist-recognized term in the era of President Trump.

According to a report from CBC News, therapists in the United States have noticed an overwhelming number of cases of anxiety with similar symptoms since Trump was elected.

While those symptoms are collectively referred to commonly as ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome,’ therapists have come up with a similar but slightly altered description – “Trump Anxiety Disorder.”

CBC reports on therapists across the nation noting a “collective anxiety” in their patients that truly believe the President’s decisions could lead to the world ending.

“Is he gonna blow us all up?” one patient openly feared.

Clinical psychologist Jennifer Panning wrote an essay regarding the phenomenon she labeled “Trump Anxiety Disorder,” a condition separate from general anxiety because “symptoms were specific to the election of Trump and the resultant unpredictable sociopolitical climate.”

Those symptoms include “feeling a loss of control and helplessness, and fretting about what’s happening in the country and spending excessive time on social media.”

Well, when you live in your mom’s basement, there’s plenty of time to share your hope and despair on social media.

Conservatives seemingly still prefer their term of choice, as it outlines the absolute unhinged nature of the left’s response to President Trump.

“All the Democrats have is Trump derangement syndrome, Russia, and identity politics,” conservative commentator Tomi Lahren told Fox News host Steve Hilton.

Nowhere was this more evident than the very recent controversy over enforcing border laws by protecting children being brought into the country illegally, a process that began a few administration’s prior to Trump entering the White House.

You may recall MSNBC host Rachel Maddow breaking down in tears during a broadcast of her show, forcing her to end the segment early before she could read an Associated Press report about the separation policy at the border. (RELATED: Rachel Maddow Cries Over Exact Policy Obama Enforced).

That would appear to constitute a symptom of the latest psychological malady known as Trump Anxiety Disorder.

As would this – Hillary’s fans on election night.

Then, of course, there was this display of TAD on Inauguration Day …

Fortunately, one Florida psychiatrist says he’s seen little evidence of Trump Anxiety Disorder on a large scale.

But then, he’s in Florida. One quick visit to California and New York would probably change his point of view.

“If you’re someone who is sort of left-leaning, you might find anxiety in [Trump’s] words and if you’re someone who leans toward the right, you might find comfort in tough talk,” he explained.

A poll conducted by the American Psychological Organization in 2017 found that nearly half of those questioned said they were significantly stressed due to the country’s political climate.
