There Were More Babies Aborted in NYC in 2015 Than There Were Murders

There were more babies aborted after 21 weeks in New York City in 2015 than there were homicides.

At least that’s according to numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The most recent data available from CDC revealed that there were 1,485 abortions performed after 21 weeks of pregnancy, or about five months, that year, compared to 352 homicide victims.

CNS News notes that the data shows about 0.96 people per day had been victims of “murder and non-negligent manslaughter” that year in NYC. Compare this to the 4.1 babies aborted each day who were 21 weeks or older.

Breitbart reports:

Given the data, the report calls out the New York Times (NYT) for its reference to abortions at 21 weeks or later as “rare” and “very rare.”

On Sunday, the NYT defended Democrats who have failed to support Born-Alive legislation that would protect babies who survive abortions from infanticide.

The NYT claimed President Donald Trump’s condemnation of Democrats as the party of “late-term abortion” and “infanticide” is “incendiary” and “inaccurate.”

Aborting 4.1 babies a day in a major U.S. city doesn’t sound that “rare.” Sorry, New York Times, but President Trump is not being “inaccurate” in calling Democrats the party of “late-term abortion.”

Case in point? The enactment of New York’s recent Reproductive Health Act, signed into law by Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo in January.

“The New York State Right to Life Committee noted the new abortion law defines a ‘person’ as a ‘human being who has been born and is alive’ – meaning unborn babies are not ‘persons’ – and further degrades unborn children by removing criminal penalties for violence against them during a homicide,” Breitbart reports.

A recent survey conducted by the Knights of Columbus showed that 75 percent of New Yorkers oppose abortion after 21 weeks. This included “69 percent of Democrats, 73 percent of independents, and 89 percent of Republicans.”

What does it say about the political class in New York when it does more to allow the slaughter of innocent unborn children than ever before, despite the the overwhelming majority of its citizens opposing it–including Democrats?

What does it say about America when more unborn babies are killed on the operating table (in at least one major city) than there are homicide victims killed by murderers in cold blood?
