Thanks Dems! New Poll Shows Impeachment is Helping Trump in Battleground States

A new poll from Firehouse Strategies and Optimus shows that the Democrat impeachment effort is actually helping President Trump surge in key battleground states.

The latest edition of the poll shows Trump beating every Democrat candidate in the key 2020 states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The results are stark, with the President even dismantling frontrunner for the nomination, Joe Biden, in a head-to-head matchup.

Alex Conant, a partner in the polling firm, tells Axios that “Democrats racing towards impeachment are at serious risk of leaving behind the voters they need to retake the White House next year.”

It is another indicator that the divisive impeachment effort is deeply unpopular outside of liberal cesspools on the east and west coasts.

Democrats Press On

It’s astounding to see the Democrat party continue to push the impeachment sham even with obvious indications that the American people don’t approve of what they’re doing.

And yet, they soldier on in their quest to undo the election results from 2016.

On Tuesday, Democrats are expected to introduce at least two articles of impeachment against the President. Those will focus allegedly on obstruction of Congress and abuse of power.

Ah, most of our readers are old enough to remember Barack Obama actually committing such acts. Secretly running weapons to Mexican drug cartels and then stonewalling Congress for nearly eight years in the Fast and Furious scandal, for example.

You’ll note, also, that none of the reported articles will include charges of “bribery,” which the Democrats were whining about for the last two weeks because the word polled well.

A markup session by the Judiciary Committee preparing the articles should come either later in the week.

Shooting Themselves in the Foot

The latest poll makes it plainly clear that impeachment is what is driving Trump’s improving numbers in battleground states.

“In March Mr. Trump was down 12 points compared to Mr. Biden in Wisconsin, seven points in Pennsylvania and nearly tied in Michigan,” the Washington Times reports.

“But since the impeachment inquiry has been carrying on, Mr. Trump now leads Mr. Biden by nine points in Wisconsin, five points in Michigan and four points in Pennsylvania.”

Expanded to other battleground states, a dozen polls from the past two months show on average that 44% of those surveyed supported impeachment, while 51% were opposed.

Hillary Clinton blamed voter suppression for her historic loss to Trump in 2016 in those very same key battleground states. Biden won’t be able to use the same excuse when he loses this election cycle. He’ll only have his own party to blame.
