SNL Mocked President for ‘Bringing Jobs Back to ISIS’ At The Same Time Trump Oversaw Killing of Top ISIS Leader

“Saturday Night Live” actor Pete Davidson appeared in a comedy segment thanking Alec Baldwin’s President Trump for “bringing jobs back to ISIS” at the same time it was reported that the President had ordered U.S. military forces to take out ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Syria.

Baldwin portrayed Trump speaking at a campaign rally similar to the one he had last week in Albuquerque, New Mexico when Davidson showed up.

Mocking Trump

“So great to see a young Trump supporter,” Baldwin said. “And where are you from son, New Mexico?”

“ISIS,” Davidson replied, “I was a prisoner in Syria until last week when you freed me,” a reference to the Trump’s controversial decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria.

“I just want to say thank you for bringing jobs back to ISIS. And I promise that I will make ISIS great again!” Davidson continued.

“Terrific! What a great guy. ISIS is back in a big, big way,” Baldwin said. “And we love that.”

Bad Timing

But at the same moment SNL was mocking the President, Trump announced on Twitter that he would soon be giving a national address to speak to America and the world in detail about the raid.

In his national White House address Sunday, President Trump said of al-Baghdadi: “Last night the United States brought the world’s number one terrorist leader to justice, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead. He was the founder and leader of ISIS, the most ruthless and violent terror organization anywhere in the world.”

“He died after running into a dead-end tunnel, whimpering and crying and screaming all the way,” Trump said.

Liberal Saturday Night Live Looked Foolish

While mocking Donald Trump is basically what the liberals who run SNL do every week, this particular jab at the President’s foreign policy made them looked especially foolish.

Withdrawing U.S. troops from Syria was a position most progressives supported before Trump was elected, but when he decided to do it, they suddenly changed their minds and denounced the decision.

Funny how that works.

President Trump was simply following through on his promise to put “America First” by not having American soldiers fighting other nations’ civil wars. The rise of ISIS in the first place was more the fault Presidents Barack Obama and even George W. Bush, whose regime change wars in Libya and Iraq created the vacuum for the terrorist group to gain a foothold.

Maybe SNL will do a sketch on this next week? Don’t hold your breath.
