The Second Amendment Has Done More For Women Than Any Liberal Movement

The feminist movement, hijacked long ago by the left in an attempt to define equal rights as being able to go topless in public, or push ‘trans rights,’ or hail abortion disguised as ‘reproductive rights,’ in theory supports equality amongst men and women.

What is a better equalizer than the right to bear arms?

A firearm for self-defense in the hands of a woman is the great equalizer in the face of an attacker or criminal who might be physically more intimidating than their victim.

As a group, they would be most prone to fall victim to violent crimes should the Second Amendment, as liberals want, be infringed.

That makes the Second Amendment the most equalizing force for women, far more than any movement pushed by so-called feminists on the left.

Second Amendment helps women

The irony here is that the left has long pushed a phony ‘war on women’ message on conservatives in general when their ‘war’ has been far more detrimental to the cause.

Emily Peck of the Huffington Post published a piece arguing the Second Amendment by nature affords men more rights than women, simply because more men own guns.

“Of course, the Second Amendment applies to all Americans,” Peck wrote. “But is there really any doubt that guns are unabashed, toxically masculine?”

That argument is straight garbage.

It is these same liberal activists who openly discourage women from owning firearms, even in the wake of the ‘Me Too’ movement. Worse, they demean powerful women who choose to own a gun for self-defense.

“The political elite is actively working to discourage women from owning a firearm and/or becoming a concealed carry permit holder,” writes Jenn Jacques at Policy Focus, “the very things that can help women who find themselves in a dangerous situation with a violent assailant.”

She adds, “In addition, women who are already gun owners and who promote the preservation of the Second Amendment are being silenced through online harassment and threats of violence.”

You can’t watch how so-called feminists treat NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch, for example, and not recognize that last statement as totally true.

Simply recall what they did to this woman who posed with her firearm for her college photo by trying to have her arrested.

Strong women intimidate the new feminist movement. As does the Second Amendment. Yet, the right to bear arms creates a level playing field between the sexes.

Who is truly pro-woman in that case?
