Nationally syndicated conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh captured the fury of conservatives who watched Republicans kill efforts to repeal Obamacare, accusing the GOP of colluding with Democrats in trying to ‘take out’ President Trump.
After the Senate’s Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) fell through on Monday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell pressed for a straight repeal bill. That also fell through.
Three GOP senators refused to support repeal without replacement. This, despite the fact that the Senate – including two of the three Senators who are now opposed – passed a straight repeal bill in 2015.
Limbaugh shredded Republican lawmakers as being part of the “Washington establishment” that is plotting a “silent coup” to take out President Trump.

The radio host even went as far as to say that the election of Trump “has never been about” the president “unifying the Republican party in order to beat the Democrats.”
“That’s been the mistake,” Limbaugh said. “That’s not the fight here. The fight is Donald Trump and his cadre and you, the Trump base, versus the Washington establishment. It has always been that and nothing more.”
Later during the airing, Limbaugh doubled down on remarks that something nefarious is afoot within the “Washington establishment.”
“We’re in the midst of a silent coup,” he said. “These people are trying to take this president out. And everybody understands that.

“Why … do you think that the same people trying to destroy Donald Trump are going to help him get rid of Obamacare?” Limbaugh asked.
He added that they won’t help him achieve other legislative victories either, such as tax reform or the border wall.
“They are going to have to be defeated, not worked with,” Limbaugh implored. “There isn’t any cooperation.”

I can understand why the GOP Congressional leadership and most rank and file members would hate for their promised conservative agenda to be delivered after 25 years to them by this President. First, he’s NOKD. Second, and more importantly, they do not like Trump, because he is a wildly disruptive force, and they like things the way they are.
Remember that the Congressional GOP was publicly very non-committal regarding tea party support in 2010 and 2014. Privately, they deeply distrusted and disliked this form of populism. They liked their base settled, docile, reliable and loyal. Throw a few conservative bromides their way, especially the biggest scam of all, their support for social conservatism, keep winning the elections and keep doing whatever the he\\ they wanted when they returned to DC. Of course, they readily accepted the tea party donations, votes, volunteers, GoTV efforts and vocal support.
But Trump is like the tea party in all its chaos, unpredictability, and push for conservative programs, policies and personnel all wrapped up into a single very powerful person.
But the GOP knows that they must do three things to win in 2018. First, repeal and replace. Second, tax cuts. (Reform is irrelevant at this point.) Third, fund the d@mned wall. And have one thing they cannot completely or directly control: economic prosperity. So is Rush right? That they would rather quash these important agenda items, just to spite Trump. They are right in line with what they’ve been promising their constituents for over two decades. Even if they never meant those promises, they must see the political fallout from very publicly reneging. Their base will melt away and they will lose. Are they suicidal? Is is worth the loss of the legislature — and by that, I mean their very own seats — to deny Trump and their base their minimal demands? Are they willing to risk it? And what lies on the other side of the failure of programmatic conservatism?
Let’s see. All the liberals are wrong. All the moderates are wrong. All the moderate conservatives are wrong. All the scientists are wrong. All the media is wrong.
The only people who understand anything are the ultra-conservatives who listen to Limbaugh, Beck, O’Reilly, and Trump. All thirty million of you.
Which sounds like a lot. Unless someone mentions that there are three hundred and nine million Americans and the hard core conservatives are a small slice of the American pie.
You do not represent the majority of Americans. And a lot of your core ideas are just plain dumb.

The only way to go with the Obamacare fiasco is complete repeal. Go back to the way it was. Give the good American people the healthcare they CHOOSE. The doctors they CHOOSE. The Insurance providers they CHOOSE! Scrap it 100%. The majority of hard working Americans don’t want an Obamacare turd with a ribbon on it. We say NO to Obamacare lite. PERIOD!
