Report: ‘Never Trumpers’ Paul Ryan, John Boehner, And Adam Kinzinger Supporting Liz Cheney’s Reelection Bid

Liz Cheney is receiving financial support from former Speakers of the House Paul Ryan and John Boehner, along with fellow anti-Trump Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger, in her bid to win reelection in 2022.

Liz Cheney is receiving financial and moral support from former Speakers of the House Paul Ryan and John Boehner, along with fellow anti-Trump Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger, in her bid to win reelection in 2022.

This, according to a report by The Hill, which describes how allies are “flock(ing) to her defense” as former President Trump supports her challenger, Harriet Hageman.

“The Wyoming Republican has also gotten money and support from former Speakers Paul Ryan and John Boehner, as well as Country First, the outside group helmed by Rep. Adam Kinzinger, another vociferous Trump critic within the GOP,” the story reads.

The Hill also notes a fundraiser that George Bush and Karl Rove would be headlining in Texas next month to help raise funds for Cheney’s campaign.

Liz Cheney Reelection Gets A Boost From … ‘True Conservatives?’

The report goes on to suggest that these allies – Paul Ryan, John Boehner, and Adam Kinzinger’s group – could be crucial in helping Liz Cheney raise funds for her reelection and in “exciting her own voters.”

The Hill even manages to find a GOP official who believes she needs an assist from these “true conservatives.”

“For Rep. Cheney to have (the) support of true conservatives that had represented the party for decades, I think it is helpful,” says former Natrona County GOP Chair Joe McGinley.

“Cheney has been successful with fundraising in the past, and having stalwarts of the party like President Bush speak up is only going to help that,” he added.

Backing Cheney

Just about the only thing conservative about these three individuals is the level of machismo they exude.

Ryan (the RINO), Boehner (the Wino), and Kinzinger (the Whiner) have had little in the way of backbone as conservative leaders while former President Trump continues to show them how to actually fight to get things done in America.

Kinzinger made a spectacle of himself this summer when he became a member of an ambiguously braying duo alongside equally melodramatic Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), the pair openly weeping at stories of Capitol Police officers who served during the riot.

Boehner, meanwhile, is prone to blubber at the first sign of a slightly unpleasant crosswind and frequently drowns his sorrows in red wine. (Boehner is well known to enjoy red wine.)

The former Speaker famously rattled off an expletive-laced insult toward Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) while recording audio for his book.

Boehner went off-script in recording his memoir saying, “Oh, and Ted Cruz, go f*** yourself,” then blamed it on the wine.

Trump has referred to Ryan as a “curse to the Republican Party” after the former Speaker advised the GOP to steer clear of the “populist appeal of one personality.”

Ryan also, like the aforementioned ‘true conservatives,’ overdramatized the events of January 6th, saying he found it “horrifying to see a presidency come to such a dishonorable and disgraceful end.”

“Paul Ryan has been a curse to the Republican Party,” Trump replied. “He has no clue as to what needs to be done for our Country, was a weak and ineffective leader, and spends all of his time fighting Republicans as opposed to Democrats who are destroying our Country.”

That’s the problem with all of these anti-Trump Republicans – they’re more outraged by Trump’s words than the actions Democrats have taken over the past decade in trying to destroy this country.

“As a Republican, having Paul Ryan on your side almost guarantees a loss, for both you, the Party, and America itself!” Trump added.

Let’s hope that’s also the case with Ryan, Boehner, Kinzinger, and Bush’s support of Liz Cheney’s reelection bid.
