Fox News Personality Quits – Slams Network and Trump Administration On His Way Out the Door

Retired Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters quit his job with Fox News on Tuesday, issuing a scathing letter that slammed the network’s hosts and claimed he was “ashamed” for ever being associated with them.

Peters has a long history of making controversial remarks for effect, though he has served the network as a reliable conservative for many years.

Unfortunately, he somehow views the network’s willingness to call out corruption at the FBI and Justice Department as an affront to the intelligence community as a whole. As such, he felt it was time to walk away.

But he didn’t go quietly …

In his farewell letter, Peters slammed the network for serving as a “propaganda machine” for the Trump administration, which any supporter of the President who watches the network would know is categorically false.

“Fox has degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration,” he wrote.

“Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the association,” Peters lamented. “Now I am ashamed.”

Fox wasn’t about to let such a ridiculous list of allegations slide without responding.

Peters is “entitled to his opinion despite the fact that he’s choosing to use it as a weapon in order to gain attention,” the network wrote in a statement.

“We are extremely proud of our top-rated primetime hosts and all of our opinion programming.”

Peters’ time at Fox was not without controversy. In December of 2015, he was suspended for calling former President Barack Obama a “total pussy(cat),” minus the word ‘cat,’ during an on-air segment.

Peters was discussing Obama’s lack of intestinal fortitude when it comes to combating Islamic extremism.

“Mr. President, we’re not afraid! We’re angry! We’re pissed off! We’re furious!” he ranted. “We want you to react. We want you to do something. You’re afraid! I mean, this guy is such a total p****, it’s stunning!”

He also accused Obama of being figuratively “date-raped” by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I’m going to put it bluntly,” he said during a segment in 2014. “Obama thinks he can romance Cuba, he thinks he can romance Iran. He tried to romance Putin, and he got date raped.”

Despite those verbal meltdowns, Peters now claims to be the voice of reason and a man taking the moral high ground as he walks away from Fox News.
