Rachel Dolezal, the former NAACP leader who shot to infamy after it was discovered she was a white woman pretending to be black, has been charged with felony theft involving a welfare fraud case.
Who would have ever thought that somebody whose entire civil rights career was a fraud, could possibly be involved in … FRAUD?!
Dolezal is accused of making false statements to help secure nearly $9,000 in food and childcare assistance between August 2015 through November 2017.
According to reports of the investigation, Dolezal, who legally changed her name in 2016 to Nkechi Diallo, was reporting less than $500 of income per month despite depositing $84,000 during the same timeframe.

A good portion of the $84,000 came from speaking engagements, soap making, doll making, and the sale of her art, according to the case file, along with money for authoring her memoir, “In Full Color.”
Dolezal has also been charged with perjury and making false verification for public assistance.

Funny how the media has consistently looked at Dolezal with an air of sympathy. This is the same group of people who recently feigned outrage at a high school student for wearing a Chinese prom dress. She was accused of ‘cultural appropriation’, which, much like Dolezal’s NAACP career, wasn’t a real thing.
Here we have Dolezal not only engaged in actual racial appropriation, but financial appropriation and the outrage has been dialed down big league.

Dolezal was forced to resign in June 2015 as head of the Spokane NAACP chapter when her parents came forward and told local media that she had been born white, and was simply posing as a black activist.
She also lost her job teaching African studies at Eastern Washington University.
She was a subject of a recent Netflix documentary.

Her story is quite similar to current Intercept columnist and former New York Daily News reporter Shaun King, who has earned the nickname “Talcum X” for pulling off the same fake race stunt.
King recently came under fire for falsely accusing a police officer of the sexual assault of a woman who had been involved in a traffic stop. Bodycam just released shows the crime never happened, but King shared the original story and even added his own accusations for his legion of followers. Dolezal and King share similar traits – they’re willing to lie about anything, fabricate stories about racism and race, and have little understanding of reality.
