Ever since President Donald J. Trump issued an Executive Order limiting travel from 7 nations with high levels of terrorism, the left has been in all out panic-mode, falsely calling the travel restrictions a “Muslim ban” and challenging the order in courts around the nation.
The liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is set to rule on President Trump’s Executive Order after a Seattle judge issued a stay, effectively halting the order’s implementation. Rather than simply sit quiet, President Trump is coming out swinging, slapping down liberals who claim his travel restrictions are unconstitutional.
Speaking during at a law enforcement conference in Washington, D.C., the president destroyed liberals, saying that even a “bad student in high school” would understand the president has the authority to restrict travel into this country for national security purposes:
You could be a lawyer, or you don’t have to be a lawyer. If you were a good student in high school or a bad student in high school, you can understand this, and it’s really incredible to me that we have a court case that’s going on so long,” Trump told his audience. “I was a good student. I understand things. I comprehend very well, okay? Better than, I think, almost anybody. And I want to tell you, I listened to a bunch of stuff last night on television that was disgraceful. It was disgraceful because what I just read to you is what we have. And it just can’t be written any plainer or better and for us to be going through this.
President Trump also slammed the courts for playing political games instead of upholding the law:
If the U.S. does not win this case as it so obviously should, we can never have the security and safety to which we are entitled. Politics!

The threat from radical Islamic terrorism is very real, just look at what is happening in Europe and the Middle-East. Courts must act fast!

President Trump is right. Courts should not be playing politics with the law or national security. The law isn’t based on their feelings. While the liberal 9th Circuit is likely to continue the stay on the president’s Executive Order, hopefully the Supreme Court will put the law and national security over partisan politics.
