A little over two years ago, Pope Francis was welcomed to the United States by President Barack Obama. Over 15,000 guests were in attendance on the South Lawn of the White House.

The meeting was pleasant and cordial.

“Holy Father, on behalf of Michelle and myself, welcome to the White House,” Obama announced upon Francis’ arrival.

“Mr. President, I am deeply grateful for your welcome in the name of all Americans,” the Pope reciprocated.

Imagine the meeting had gone a little differently, however. Imagine, if you would, the following exchange between Pope Francis and Barack Obama.

Pope Gives Americans Exactly What They Want

The Pope and Barack Obama are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.

The Pope leans towards Mr. Obama and says, “Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy?”

“This joy will not be a temporary display, like that of your followers, but go deep into their hearts and they’ll forever speak of this day and rejoice!”

Obama replied, “I seriously doubt that. With one little wave of your hand? Show me.”

So the Pope slapped him.

 

Come on, you chuckled a little bit at the very thought. Admit it.

It’s clear Obama and the Democrats need a slap every once in a while just to wake them up. Take for instance, the recent Harvey Weinstein scandal, in which the liberal Hollywood icon and Democrat donor has been outed as a pervert who spent decades sexually harassing and assaulting multiple women.

At a gala in 2013, Michelle Obama celebrated Weinstein as a “really good person,” while Barack thanked him for his “friendship and support.”

You’d have thought the fact that their daughter, Malia Obama, had interned for the guy would be enough to send the elder Obama into a rage, denouncing Weinstein’s alleged actions almost immediately.

Instead, it took Barack five days since the story first broke to speak out regarding the allegations.

“Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein,” Obama said in a statement. “Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status.”

It took him five days to say this!

Remarkably, Obama has refused to return any fundraising money that Weinstein was involved with.

Perhaps if the Pope gave him that slap to the grill …
