Report: Here Is Trump’s Top Choice for Supreme Court

Peter Thiel

Over the past several months, conservatives have celebrated Donald Trump’s short-list for the Supreme Court, as the court is currently at a 4-4 tie following the death of conservative icon Antonin Scalia.

Well, a new report just out today suggests that Trump wants to select PayPal CEO Peter Theil as the newest justice on the court.

From Western Journalism:

Two separate sources reportedly said Trump “loves” Thiel and has talked within his inner circle about nominating the Silicon Valley venture capitalist to serve as a justice.

They also cautioned, however, that it could just be idle chatter, and they acknowledged never having spoken to Trump about the issue directly.

Both sources said that nothing is set in stone and all they know for sure is that Thiel has told people Trump would nominate him if elected and Trump’s team has discussed the possibility.

Trump’s press secretary, Hope Hicks, issued a strong denial of the report. “There is absolutely no truth to this whatsoever,” she said.

Thiel’s camp has denied it as well.

“Peter hasn’t had any conversations about a Supreme Court nomination and has no interest in the job,” said Jeremiah Hall, a spokesman for the PayPal Co-Founder.

Would you support Trump if he chose to nominate Thiel to the Supreme Court or is the PayPal too liberal to replace Scalia? Share your thoughts with us below!
