Oof. If you listen closely enough you can hear the collective wind being knocked out of liberals across the nation.
We hate to pour cold water on their hopes, dreams, and aspirations, but after a mere 24 hours of speculation and anticipation, Oprah Winfrey has announced through a close source, that she isn’t running for president in 2020.
Cue the sad trombone, libs.
The source close to Oprah, quoting the woman herself, said “It’s not happening. She has no intention of running.”

Mainstream media had spent all of yesterday running wild with excitement after the talk show icon delivered a memorable speech at the Golden Globes.
Speculation grew when her partner, Stedman Graham, told the Los Angeles Times that she would “absolutely” run for president, but “it’s up to the people.”
NBC News could hardly contain their glee, Tweeting a message pronouncing Oprah as “OUR President.”

NBC later went with the ‘it was intended to be a joke’ and some other ‘third party’ was actually responsible for the message, but kept the tweet active for 14 hours, indicating their approval.
CBS led their evening broadcast fawning over Oprah’s speech, saying it had the “crescendo of a campaign address.”
And a pair of CNN reporters giddily said their sources confirmed this was serious you guys!

But those are CNN’s sources. That and a couple of bucks might get you a cup of coffee.
In the meantime, somebody actually asked Oprah what she thought about a 2020 run. Get ready for the cold water, libs.

This seems to be Oprah trying to put out the fire in a hurry. Perhaps the media should have taken a moment out of their unceasing worship to do a little background check.
In June, Oprah told the Hollywood Reporter in June that she would never run for president.
“I will never run for public office,” she said. “That’s a pretty definitive thing.”
Cheer up, friends on the left. This is politics. And Oprah’s mind is subject to change at any given moment.
For now, though, it’ll be fun to see the fire go out of the left’s eyes as their dreams of an Oprah presidency are crushed.
