Did you ever imagine we’d be at a place in this country where our very own lawmakers who swore an oath to defend the United States, would so casually compare America to Nazi Germany?
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued the trend of Democrats in Congress denigrating America by saying the federal government is operating “concentration camps” for illegal immigrants at the southern border.
It is a despicable statement unworthy of the office she holds.
“That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps,” she claimed without evidence during an Instagram video session with followers.
“The fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it,” the freshman Democrat added.
Ocasio-Cortez falsely claims Trump is operating concentration camps, compares the situation to the Holocaust: “The U.S. is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are. … ‘Never Again’ means something … we need to do something about it” pic.twitter.com/F2MmZ8y2dT

“I don’t use those words lightly,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “I don’t use those words to just throw bombs. I use that word because that is what an administration that creates concentration camps is. A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist and it’s very difficult to say that.”
- Barack Obama was the one who actually put kids in cages, so by extension, she must also be upset that his administration ran ‘concentration camps.’
- It can’t be that ‘difficult to say’ since she used the term at least five times in a two-minute time span.
- What’s ‘extraordinarily disturbing’ is that someone this ignorant was elected to Congress.
- Whoever taught history to AOC in high school should have their teaching certificate rescinded immediately. You did a very poor job.
- This isn’t even vaguely comparable to ‘concentration camps.’
In 2014, the Obama Administration also housed migrant children at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, the former site of a Japanese internment camp.
The Obama administration also housed migrant children at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, another former site of a WWII internment camp.
In a sane world – where Democrats weren’t the party of unhinged lunatics – Ocasio-Cortez would be reprimanded and censured for making such an anti-American statement.
World War II
Ocasio-Cortez has an absolute infatuation with World War II references and seemingly thinks the America she grew up in is akin to Nazi Germany.
It wasn’t that long ago she was comparing global warming to World War II. In October of this past year, she compared climate change to Nazi Germany in a call for more radical environmental efforts in the United States.
“So we talk about existential threats, the last time we had a really major existential threat to this country was around World War II,” she told a crowd of supporters. “And so we’ve been here before and we have a blueprint of doing this before.”
She created a short film that also compared the fight to curb climate change to the Greatest Generation.
Climate change is here + we’ve got a deadline: 12 years left to cut emissions in half.

“Some of us remembered as a nation we’d been in peril before,” she fretted in the video. “The Great Depression, World War II. We knew from our history how to pull together to overcome impossible odds and at the very least we owed it to our children to try.”
Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw, an actual true American patriot, reminded Democrats not that long ago about this specific topic.
“President Trump is a lot of things but he’s not Hitler,” Crenshaw said in a video directed at Democrat Rep. Hank Johnson. “He didn’t kill millions of people. He didn’t start a world war. He doesn’t have any concentration camps.”
Maybe someday they’ll figure that out.
