Former President Barack Obama isn’t exactly known as an honest broker. He is, after all, the man behind the claim that he traveled to 57 states, that a YouTube video caused a terrorist attack in Benghazi, and was the architect of the phrase ‘If you like your insurance plan, you can keep it.’
But even a broken watch is correct twice a day, and we think we’ve found one of those times where Obama actually told the truth.
Over 5 years ago, he dropped a simple two-word tweet that takes on a whole new meaning here in 2018. And it may be the most accurate thing Obama has ever said in hindsight.
I spy… pic.twitter.com/5KEpqgbA

Yes, apparently you did. On the Trump campaign, in an effort to subvert the will of the American people and fix an election in favor of your hand-chosen successor, Hillary Clinton. (RELATED: Former Intel Officer Says Barack Obama Spying on Trump Could be a Felony).
Naturally, Twitter users had a field day with this tweet …
Yes, we are finally learning about it

You were not joking.

I’m glad you finally admit it.

President Trump called out Obama saying that news of an FBI informant in his campaign amounts to a scandal bigger than Watergate.
Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI “SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN EMBEDDED INFORMANT.” Andrew McCarthy says, “There’s probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign.” If so, this is bigger than Watergate!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 17, 2018
Trump lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, implied that there may have been more than one spy.
“I’m shocked to hear that they [the FBI] put a spy in the campaign of a major party candidate, or maybe two spies,” he told “Fox & Friends.”
Michael Caputo, a former Trump campaign adviser, also claims that there was more than one informant spying on the team.
“Let me tell you something that I know for a fact … This informant, this person [who] they tried to plant into the campaign … he’s not the only person who came into the campaign. And the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came into the campaign.”
“I know because they came at me. And I’m looking for clearance from my attorney to reveal this to the public. This is just the beginning.”
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper all but admitted the spying took place … and then justified it!
“We ought to think of it as part of the effort of the FBI to keep the nation safe and secure and protect our voting process,” Clapper said.
Obama’s ‘I Spy’ tweet becomes more incredibly truthful as the facts continue to roll out. But it’s also important to remember that President Trump isn’t the only person his predecessor spied on – Obama spied on journalists, he spied on members of Congress, and he used his NSA to spy on every American.
