Obama-Era FBI Official Says Trump Like Islamic Cleric Who Plays Beheading Videos to Radicalize People

Frank Figliuzzi, a former Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) during Obama’s first term, compared President Trump to a radical Islamic cleric who plays beheading videos as a means to radicalize jihadists.

Figliuzzi penned an op-ed in the New York times recently in which he accused the President of fanning the flames of race-based terrorism.

In the column, the former FBI official claimed that Trump’s criticisms of Baltimore and Democrat Representative Elijah Cummings were racist and that any criticism of minorities “embolden(s) white hate groups and reinforce(s) racist blogs, news sites and social media platforms.”

In short, you can’t criticize someone who’s not white on the off chance that a lunatic uses that criticism as a means to commit a violent act. Which, of course, is patently absurd.

Compared Trump to Jihadists

Clearly emboldened by the timing of the El Paso tragedy, Figliuzzi took things a step further in his blatant lies about President Trump.

In an interview with Nicole Wallace of MSNBC regarding the President’s emotional and well thought out response to the attack, Figliuzzi claimed to see “uncanny parallels between the radicalization you see in Islamic, violent extremism, radicalization to commit jihad, to go to jihad, and then what we’re seeing in the white hate movement.”

“One way to stop it is for that driving radicalizer — on the Islamic side, that Muslim cleric that’s playing the beheading videos and radicalizing you — that guy has to come out and say, ‘I renounce this, I reject it, I was wrong, I don’t need you anymore. Stop it. It’s not American,'” he stated.

“And we didn’t hear that today. This press conference today by the president, to use a baseball phrase, was a swing and a miss.”

In a later interview with Brian Williams, Figliuzzi again asserted that he could see the violence being caused by this administration “from my experience in international terrorism and radicalization to Islamic jihad.”

Odd then, that this man worked for the FBI with an administration that all but ignored Islamic jihad and refused to call it out at every turn.

‘Jihad Against Immigrants’

Figliuzzi’s ridiculous analogy is similar to that of New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who in 2018 accused President Trump of conducting a “jihad” against illegal immigrants by enforcing immigration laws.

It’s almost as if Democrats believe mass shootings and deportation of illegal aliens only started in January of 2017 when Trump entered the White House.

Imagine if you will, Obama, who also failed to do anything meaningful about these shootings or the humanitarian crisis at the border being perpetually compared to Islamic terrorists or Nazis.
