New Polls Shows Trump Hitting Approval Rating High–And Beating Every Top 2020 Democrat

On Monday, a Quinnipiac University national poll showed that President Trump’s job approval rating now matches his best job approval rating to date, and also that voters are increasingly opposed to him possibly being impeached.

Impeachment Isn’t Hurting Trump

Within days of a historic impeachment vote in the House of Representatives, a new Quinnipiac University poll revealed that 43 percent of registered voters say they approve of the job Trump is doing, while 52 percent disapprove.

Compare this is to an October 23 poll that asked the same question right before the impeachment hearings, where only 38 percent approved of the job Trump was doing, while 58 percent disapproved.

As the President’s approval numbers have risen, so has opposition to impeachment.

The poll said that 45 percent of voters said Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while 51 percent are opposed to either action. In the prior poll, 48 percent of voters thought the president should be impeached and removed, while 46 percent were opposed.

As if this wasn’t good news enough for the President, another poll gives him even more.

Poll Shows Trump Beating Every Top 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate

Despite the push by House Democrats and the media to impeach Trump, another new poll shows the President beating all the top Democratic in the 2020 presidential race.

The USA Today and Suffolk University national survey revealed that if the election were held today, Trump would defeat “former Vice President Joe Biden by 3 percentage points, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders by 5 points, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren by 8 points.”

Trump would also win over Mayor Pete Buttigieg by 10 points and would trounce Michael Bloomberg by 9 points.

“Polls taken nearly a year before an election are hardly a reliable indicator about what the eventual outcome will be,” noted USA Today.  “But the findings do indicate that impeachment hearings detailing what critics see as Trump’s violations of the Constitution and his oath of office haven’t undermined his core political support.”

‘My 401(k) is doing better than it’s ever done’

Impeachment does not seem to be hurting Trump, 42-year-old truck driver Jason Mayo of Greenville, North Carolina told USA Today, referring to House Democrats.

“Why waste the time going through all the stuff we’re going through now?” he asked.

Mayo believes Trump will defeat impeachment “hands down” and will win the White House again in 2020.

“My 401(k) is doing better than it’s ever done,” Mayo said. “That’s the truth.”
