It’s become commonplace to watch Democrats push for new gun control laws in our country while simultaneously making it obvious they have no idea what they’re talking about when it comes to guns.

Add in a politician who’s a bit off her rocker to begin with, and you have the ingredients for an idiotic statement of epic proportions.

That’s what happened when Dan Hinkson, a retired Marine captain and current gun store owner, asked a thoughtful question of California Democrat and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Hinkson, speaking on the recent Las Vegas massacre asked, “What new law can we put out there that would stop something like this?”

Pelosi, a leftist robot programmed to spit out two-word catchphrases, answered “background checks.”

There’s just one problem …

Indeed, the shooter, Stephen Paddock passed background checks according to two separate Nevada gun dealers.

“All state and federal laws were followed, and an FBI background check took place and was passed by the buyer,” said David Familglietti of New Frontier, a gun shop that sold Paddock a rifle and shotgun. “My staff takes their job very seriously, and if there were any ‘red flags,’ the sale would have halted immediately.”

Meanwhile, Christopher Sullivan, general manager of Guns & Guitars, also said Paddock passed the background checks already in place.

“All necessary background checks and procedures were followed, as required by local, state, and federal law,” he stated.

Yet, here we are, listening to an actual lawmaker pretend that background checks would have stopped the carnage, lying to the American people to push an agenda.

And CNN’s Chris Cuomo is playing the useful idiot, allowing her to make those comments without challenge, staring with a befuddled look out into the audience.

Make no mistake, Democrats are doing everything they can right now to roll back the Second Amendment, and they’ll be willing to tell any lie to make it happen.
