Salus populi suprema lex esto.
That is the state motto of Missouri. Roughly translated, it means “the safety of the people shall be their highest law.”
The safety of one person however, is of no concern for Maria Chappelle-Nadal, a Democrat lawmaker representing the 14th District in the Missouri Senate.
That one person is President Trump.
Chappelle-Nadal is a little wound up over recent events and believes Trump is ‘traumatizing his citizens.’
45 traumatizes his citizens. We need a self-correction. The stability of our nation is standing on wobbly stilts. Our strength is in doubt.

How traumatic has it been? Apparently enough for Chappelle-Nadal to lose her mind and openly call for the assassination of the President of the United States.
KMOX talk show host, Mark Reardon, has the scoop:
A Missouri State Senator from St. Louis has now called for the assassination of @realDonaldTrump. Keep it classy @MariaChappelleN. pic.twitter.com/JTrkxk4Pkz

Via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
Missouri state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, posted a comment in a Facebook conversation this morning saying she hoped President Donald Trump will be assassinated.
The comment has since been removed. But Chappelle-Nadal confirmed to the Post-Dispatch that she had written it in response to another commenter before deleting it.
“I didn’t mean what I put up. Absolutely not. I was very frustrated,” Chappelle-Nadal told the newspaper. “Things have got to change.”
Well the first thing to change is … stop making assassination threats!
Normally, we’d suggest somebody from the Secret Service take a look into Ms. Chappelle-Nadal’s threat. But we’re not sure what’s more concerning, the threat itself, or the fact that she’s responding to someone whose brother works on the President’s Secret Service detail and has “two (years) to go with this idiot.”
Yikes! Not exactly the kind of person you want on your detail. The Secret Service already had to get rid of one agent who refused to take a bullet for the President, now there’s another who doesn’t even want to work for him?
Chappelle-Nadal is a bit of a nut case, blurting out in a recent “right-to-work” debate that a Democrat colleague had harassed her and called her “Boo.”

She’s also a vehement race-baiter, once threatening people who used their “white privilege” and declaring a “race war” after the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson.
“I have to tell you, this is St. Louis’s race war,” Chappelle-Nadal said. “We didn’t have a race war like other cities throughout the country. This is our race war.”
She seems to like inciting violence. Shouldn’t take long for law enforcement to show up on her front step and investigate these latest assassination comments.
