Michelle Obama blasted the GOP, saying the party lacked diversity and consisted of politicians who are “all men, all white.”
“It’s a feeling of color, almost,” Obama said, recalling a scene she encountered at a State of the Union address.
“On one side of the room, it’s literally gray and white, literally, that’s the color palette on one side of the room,” she claimed. “On the other side of the room, there’s yellows and blues and whites and greens, physically there’s a difference in color in the tone.”
She added, “Because one side, all men, all white. On the other side, some women, some people of color.”
Obama made her comments during a discussion at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women earlier this week.
Michelle Obama says that the GOP consists of all men, all white.
Keep thinking that.
It’s how you lose elections.

It’s almost as if the Democrats, even more so under the first black President, have never met a race card they didn’t like.
Seems like the former First Lady, when she looked out upon those in the congressional chambers, failed to see the historic electoral feats under the Republican Party.
2014 in particular saw a slate of historic firsts:
- Elise Stefanik (R-NY), running in New York’s 21st district, became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.
- Joni Ernst became the first woman ever to represent Iowa in the United States Senate. Not only that, she becomes the first female veteran in the Senate.
- Mia Love became the first black woman Republican elected to Congress.
- Tim Scott became the first black Senator for either party to be elected in the South since the Reconstruction.
Scott’s victory was paved by his appointment by South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, the first ever Indian-American female governor.
But hey, all white, all male sounds so much edgier.

Obama also took a shot at President Trump, saying the youth of our nation were used to a higher standard set by her husband.
“Many of the young people today, they only know Barack Obama as their president and what that standard felt like and what kind of messages were being talked about,” she said at the conference. “They grew up only under hope and possibility and options and opportunity and creating more space.”
She said of Trump’s presidency, “I think they will feel some of what’s happening now as intrinsically not what they were taught.”
How she said that Barack Obama held people to a higher standard with a straight face is anybody’s guess.
