Doesn’t it behoove a quality author to actually speak with people who might know best about the topic of their book?
Not so, apparently, in the literary world of Michael Wolff, author of the presidential tell-all, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”
During an interview with co-host Norah O’Donnell on CBS This Morning, discussion regarding allegations that President Trump would be removed from office by threat of the 25th Amendment arose.
“There are many moments in which the 25th Amendment has come up,” Wolff claims. “They don’t say, ‘The Cabinet is going to remove the president,’ but they do say things like, ‘This is a little 25th Amendment-y here.'”
“There are many moments in which the 25th Amendment has come up, which gives the Cabinet the ability to remove the president & they don’t say, ‘The Cabinet is going to remove the pres.’ but they do say things like ‘This is a little 25th Amendment-y here'” https://t.co/2ZBCM83qhA

Really, Mr. Wolff?
The 25th Amendment is a constitutional provision allowing for the removal of the President should he be deemed medically unfit. Democrats are trying to translate that into an effort to remove Trump based on supposedly being mentally unfit.
The Amendment would need to be invoked by the Vice President and a majority of the President’s Cabinet.
Guess whom Wolff failed to interview regarding this matter? The Vice President and EVERYONE on Trump’s Cabinet!
Wolff tells me he never interviewed VP Pence or any Cabinet members. #25thAmendment requires VP and majority of Cabinet to invoke https://t.co/isVLiUvMEB

Did you speak with any members of the President’s Cabinet for this book? “I did not.” Did you speak with the Vice President? “I did not.” Michael Wolff on @CBSThisMorning pic.twitter.com/FdgftqacSM

Essentially, Wolff talked to a bunch of low-level White House aides (and Sloppy Steve) about something only top-level Cabinet members could possibly have any knowledge about.
This is the equivalent of doing a hard-hitting biography on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell by only doing interviews with random disgruntled fans.
Earlier this past week, President Trump said he authorized “zero access” to the White House for the discredited author.
I authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book! I never spoke to him for book. Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist. Look at this guy’s past and watch what happens to him and Sloppy Steve!

This appears to be true since Wolff admits he didn’t speak to Pence or the Cabinet.
“I came into this with no agenda,” Wolff said.
He also came into it with no facts.
