Michael Wolff, author of an expanded gossip column called Fire and Fury, finally found himself on the receiving end of some media pushback regarding a disgraceful effort to smear U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
Wolff asserted that through his work, readers could surmise that someone had slept their way to a role in the Administration, engaging in an affair with President Trump. He advised readers there is a segment that would cause readers to say “Bingo.”
Naturally, readers went on the prowl and discovered the following excerpt:
“The president had been spending a notable amount of private time with Haley on Air Force One and was seen to be grooming her for a national political future.”
The implication was rather obvious.
Haley lambasted the author and his work as “disgusting,” but Wolff further smeared her when he said that she seemed to be ’embracing’ the rumors.
“She seems to me, she seems to have embraced it,” he asserted. “I mean, if I were being accused of something, and I’m not accusing her of anything … she hasn’t tried to avoid this, let’s say.”
Brzezinski and her panel, to their credit, weren’t letting the wordplay by Wolff slip by, despite the considerable level of ooze that emanates from the man every time he speaks.
.@MichaelWolffNYC cut off on @Morning_Joe after claiming he didn’t accuse .@nikkihaley of anything. Bizarre segment.
The hosts praised “Fire and Fury” to Wolff’s face last month: “The spirit of it was completely true.” https://t.co/zmoyrgedL2 pic.twitter.com/JwqoSWeyAf

“You’re slurring a woman. It’s disgraceful,” Brzezinski lashed out.
Wolff responded, “She’s been accused of nothing … Certainly, I didn’t accuse her of anything.”
As discussed, the inference was clear, and the author is simply tiptoeing around the idea that he never specifically said Haley was having an affair. He believes he’s talking to intellectually inferior people.
Brzezinski then delivered a devastating blow that could have knocked the botox out of Wolff’s grill …
“This is awkward,” she said, “you’re on the set with us. I’m sorry, but you’re done.”
Since the segment aired and he was run off the set, Wolff has taken to social media to fight back against Brzezinski. The gossip columnist accused her and Joe Scarborough of being gossipers, then said President Trump was right about her.
It really would be hard to gossip more eagerly off camera than Mika and Joe gossip.

My bad, the President is right about Mika.

What a stand up little fella that Wolff is.
No sympathy for the media, however. They made their bed with this tool and now they can lie in the filth that follows him around.
They spent weeks reporting on his book as gospel and now that he’s been proven to be a liar and smear-monger, the media wants to pretend they’re above it all.
Wolff is your monster, media. You let him out and there’s no getting him back in the pen.
But it was still pretty cool to see him get the boot.
