While liberals are working overtime to feign outrage in a serial harasser of women in Harvey Weinstein, First Lady Melania Trump, often an object of their disdain, has won a humanitarian award for her work on behalf of women and children.
How’s that taste, FLOTUS haters?
Trump picked up the award, handed out by the Kuwait-America Foundation, at the embassy in Washington, D.C. late last week.
According to the First Lady’s communications director Stephanie Grisham, she was honored by the foundation “for her dedication to causes affecting women and children in the US and abroad.”
The First Lady took to social media to express thanks for the honor, and explained that her role in the White House “is to positively impact the lives of children & effect change within our next generation.”

The Kuwait-America Foundation was established as a charitable organization designed to “express gratitude for American sacrifice during the Gulf War.”
The group’s aim is to direct resources towards “education, cultural exchange and programs for youth and disadvantaged persons.”

Sheiha Rima Al-Sabah, wife of Kuwait Ambassador Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah, said Melania is committed to “being a powerful force for good, not just in the United States, but everywhere.”
“As an American woman with an international background, she is an inspiration to women and girls worldwide,” added Grisham. “She is honored by the recognition, but more importantly considers this as an opportunity to continue to shine a light on the fact that it is often children who bear the harshest burdens of cruelty and injustice.”
Previous guests of honor for the Kuwait-America Foundation according to CNN include John Kerry, David Petraeus, Nicole Kidman, former President Bill Clinton, Michael Bolton, Ben Affleck, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Leonardo DiCaprio, President George W. Bush, former first lady Laura Bush, Michael Douglas, and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Michelle Obama was the only one of the four most recent First Ladies to not be invited as a guest of honor for the Foundation.
