After Meeting With Trump, Microsoft’s Bill Gates Says Donald Trump Is Exactly Like John F. Kennedy

Bill Gates, the world’s wealthiest man, just compared President-elect Donald J. Trump’s ability to bring innovation and change to the federal government to President John F. Kennedy’s abilities in the 1960s.

This is extraordinary!

“A lot of his message has been about … where he sees things not as good as he’d like,” the billionaire Microsoft co-founder said on “Squawk Box.”

“But in the same way President Kennedy talked about the space mission and got the country behind that,” Gates continued, “I think whether it’s education or stopping epidemics … [or] in this energy space, there can be a very upbeat message that [Trump’s] administration [is] going to organize things, get rid of regulatory barriers, and have American leadership through innovation.”

Gates said he recently spoke on the phone with Trump, and discussed the power of innovation. “Of course, my whole career has been along those lines. And he was interested in listening to that. And I’m sure there will be further conversation.”

This isn’t the first time a leader of the technology industry was impressed with Trump. Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos – the world’s 5th wealthiest man – is already slated to be attending Trump’s meeting Wednesday at Trump Tower where a technology sector summit will take place. Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Oracle co-CEO Safra Catz, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins, along with executives from Google are also scheduled.

Bill Gates’ comments are high praise. In 1961, it was President Kennedy who challenged America to send a man to the moon: “I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to earth.”

The moon landing of Apollo 11 was successful on July 20, 1969.

In addition, it can be said that Trump’s bold tax reform plans are very similar to Kennedy’s. JFK was more of a Reagan-like tax cutter, unlike President Barack Obama.
