Just point us to the bricks and mortar.
Martha McSally, the Arizona Rep. running to replace Sen. Jeff Flake after his upcoming retirement, joked that if California doesn’t curb their pro-illegal immigration policies, the border wall may have to be built between the two states.
It may have been a joke, but it’s an idea so crazy it just might work.
“If these dangerous policies continue out of California,” McSally said at a roundtable event, “we might need to build a wall between California and Arizona as well to keep these dangerous criminals out of our state.”
Nevada and Oregon might want to get in on that border wall action as well.
This wasn’t the first time McSally made the suggestion…

The Los Angeles Times had a fit over the comments, sneering that McSally wanted to build a wall to protect from “liberals to the west.”
Safe to say, this nation doesn’t need a wall to protect them from liberals, they need a wall to give those liberals the safe space they’ve been clamoring for in the first place.
Also, she was joking. She made the comments with a smile on her face.

More realistically, McSally argued that California’s ‘sanctuary state’ policies actually have a significant effect on the nation as a whole, particularly neighboring states such as Arizona.
California can’t simply “provide sanctuary for these criminals and think that it’s only impacting California dangerously,” she asserted.
McSally has been a strong proponent of a wall, stating that border states without a true border turn into a free for all for all of the lawless activity.
“What we’ve seen in the past is that when there were no barriers at all, it was a free for all,” she said. “We saw that in San Diego where the President visited … and we’ve seen it in Arizona as well. We finally have a president who has the will and desire to secure our border.”
Maybe he could just give the wall a quick turn north when it reaches California.
