Attorney General Eric Holder has announced his resignation, and the man with an approval rating below 25% will no longer head the Department of Justice.
In a statement regarding the news, House Oversight Committee Chair Darrell Issa referred to Holder as “the most divisive U.S. Attorney General in modern history.” Issa would go on to call Holder little more than a “political activist” who had “the dubious historic distinction of being the first Attorney General held in criminal contempt by the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Despite being universally despised by the public, serving as an activist in a role requiring justice, and being the first to be held in criminal contempt, the news was met with great dismay at the Congressional Black Caucus.
Nancy Pelosi made the announcement to a distraught crowd, who responded with utterly depressed statements of “that is a shock” and “that is so bad.” Not to mention numerous stunned utterances of the word “wow.”
