In a stunning decision, a jury in San Francisco cleared illegal immigrant Jose Ines Garcia Zarate of murder and manslaughter charges in the shooting death of Kate Steinle as she walked along a pier with her father in July of 2015.
Being California, the only offense the jury found Zarate guilty of was possession of a firearm. Because guns are bad, illegals and dead American citizens, not so much.

The decision highlights a further need to fix the broken illegal immigration system and build the wall. Zarate had been deported five times and was heading for a sixth at the time of the shooting, but sought out the city of San Francisco for their ‘sanctuary city’ policies that would prevent local authorities from cooperating with federal immigration officials.
The ‘sanctuary city’ policy is the direct reason Kate Steinle is dead today, and it is liberal San Francisco values that allowed an illegal immigrant to get away with it.

He’s quite right in that assessment. This verdict will no doubt rekindle the fury that Trump supporters have over illegals getting special treatment when it comes to the law. They get to break the law upon entry into the country and now, evidently, they get away with murder.

It really is remarkable. An illegal immigrant discharged an illegal firearm and was found not guilty of manslaughter.
Democrats continuing to pursue ‘sanctuary city’ policies have already kicked dirt on the grave of Kate Steinle. Now the San Francisco jury just came along and spit on it.
It’s not all over, however. Zarate will be deported:
