On yesterday’s episode of ABC’s “The View”, liberal co-host Joy Behar shamelessly tried to bait rapper and actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson with a question about race.
But it didn’t go exactly as planned.
Out of nowhere, Behar wanted to stir up a political discussion and asked for 50 Cent’s thoughts about “white people calling the police on black people.” She noted she believes it’s an “epidemic these days.”
She continued her question by listing examples of police being called over something silly, but Behar made it sound like every instant was race-related. She discussed the woman in New York City who went viral on social media after calling the cops on a young girl for selling water outside her apartment complex without proper permits. There’s no evidence that that ridiculous situation was race-related or due to prejudice, but the facts apparently don’t matter to Behar.
The famous rapper didn’t fall for her bait. 50 Cent replied calmly, “These are specific people’s actions. It wouldn’t matter what color the person is, that person is calling the cops for anything.”
“You think?” a disappointed Behar replied.
Yeah,” replied 50 Cent.
Behar tried one last time to make her failing point work and added, “Well, there seems to be more of [racial issues involving police] lately.” (Of course, what she really means is President Trump is in office and so everything is now is racist.)
50 Cent reminded Behar that everyone today has cell phones, and that helps the situation: “Well, it’s being caught because of the cameras.”

Why hasn’t ABC canceled “The View” yet?
