After left-wing activists targeted Hyatt Hotels for hosting this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the hotel chain stuck up for free speech and said conservatives have the right to “peacefully express their views.”
This year’s CPAC took place at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida.
For years, CPAC had been held at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, Maryland – but held this year’s conference in Florida due to Maryland’s COVID restrictions.
Perfect from Hyatt against cancel culture “We believe in the right of individuals and organizations to peacefully express their views, independent of the degree to which the perspectives of those hosting meetings and events at our hotels align with ours” https://t.co/urQpOaDauf

Hyatt Stands Up For Free Speech
Fox News reported Friday that after left-wing activists realized that Hyatt Hotels was hosting the conservative event, a #BoycottHyatt hashtag spread on social media.
Fox News noted that Hyatt accepting CPAC as customers made some on the left claim that Hyatt was “endorsing” the conference merely by “allowing it to happen at one of its properties.”
A Hyatt spokesperson told Fox Business, “Conservatives have the right to gather and peacefully express their views.”
“We take pride in operating a highly inclusive environment and we believe that the facilitation of gatherings is a central element of what we do as a hospitality company,” the spokesman said.
“We believe in the right of individuals and organizations to peacefully express their views, independent of the degree to which the perspectives of those hosting meetings and events at our hotels align with ours,” the spokesperson added.
A statement by Hyatt read, “Our own values support a culture that is characterized by empathy, respect and diversity of opinions and backgrounds, and we strive to bring this to light through what we do and how we engage with those in our care.”

Actress Alyssa Milano Other Leftists Accuse CPAC Of Promoting ‘Nazi Symbols’
This wasn’t the only ridiculousness from the left over CPAC over the weekend. Some left activists actually thought CPAC organizers featured Nazi imagery at their event.
This isn’t a joke.
Left actress and activist Alyssa Milano appeared to be a primary person online pushing the idea that CPAC organizers shaped their stage like an Odal rune.
Milano responded to the Hyatt statement with a tweet, writing, In other words, Hyatt is totally fine hosting Nazis.”
Wow. Hyatt is okay with hosting Nazi's. pic.twitter.com/39Uesb6J2I

Milano wasn’t the only one making the claim.
Neo-Nazis have been using the Odal Rune sign in place of the swastika for several years.
CPAC’s stage is the same shape.

Hillary Clinton alumni got in to the act:
So, I looked into this, and yes the unusual #CPAC2021 stage is in the shape of an Odal rune, a symbol used by the SS.
Holy smokes. Sure it is just a coincidence. https://t.co/sqQg7tSZBU

QPAC stage is the Odal Rune used by the Nazi 7th SS and S Africa’s White Liberation Movement. Hyatt allows this obsenity on their property. #BoycottHyatt https://t.co/2XDS8OZ7QK

This barely deserved a response, but CPAC organizer Matt Schlapp ripped those floating the conspiracy, calling the claims “outrageous and slanderous.”
“Stage design conspiracies are outrageous and slanderous,” Schlapp wrote to Twitter on Saturday. “We have a long standing commitment to the Jewish community. Cancel culture extremists must address antisemitism within their own ranks.”
“CPAC proudly stands with our Jewish allies, including those speaking from this stage,” Schlapp added.

A Hyatt spokesman told Reuters, “We take the concern raised about the prospect of symbols of hate being included in the stage design at CPAC 2021 very seriously as all such symbols are abhorrent and unequivocally counter to our values as a company.”

Free Speech Wins – For Now
“Hyatt said all aspects of conference logistics, including the stage design, were managed by the American Conservative Union, which organized the conference,” the report added.
Good for Hyatt Hotels for standing up for the principles of diversity of thought and free speech – two American values the left is obviously hellbent on destroying.
