High School History Book Argues Trump Mentally Unfit, Supporters Racist

Here’s some more evidence that our children’s education system is becoming more like an indoctrination nation.

An AP U.S. History textbook printed by Pearson, an award-winning, major publishing company, contains passages regarding the 2016 presidential election which suggest President Trump was viewed as mentally unfit by some experts, while repeatedly portraying his supporters as racists.

Excerpts covering Trump’s election and inauguration were posted to social media by Alex On-Air, a talk show host with WNOW-FM radio in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“In case you didn’t think there was an effort going on in public schools to indoctrinate kids with an anti-conservative agenda, a friend of mine took pictures and highlighted parts of this AP US History book,” the talk show host wrote.

The readings suggest that as Obama transitioned out of his “post-racial” presidency, white Christians began to come forward and led a wave of populism that resulted in Trump’s ascension.

“Those who had long thought of the nation as a white and Christian country sometimes found it difficult to adjust,” one portion reads.

Another labeled Trump’s supporters as “A mostly older, often rural or suburban, and overwhelmingly white group.”

The textbook also parrots Hillary Clinton’s own argument that voters who chose Trump did so because they were fearful of ethnic diversity and the fact that she is a woman.

Those voters were labeled as “people who were afraid of a rapidly developing ethnic diversity of the country, discomfort with (Hillary’s) gender,” and were nostalgic “for an earlier time in the nation’s history.”

In other words, back to the days of slavery and before women could vote. Truly deplorable.

The textbook, a college-level publication, also dabbled in conspiracy theories about the President’s mental health.

“They (Clinton supporters) also worried about the mental stability of the president-elect and the anger that he and his supporters brought to the nation,” they wrote.

Remarkable – A book that should show supporting evidence and facts is taking general comments made by a handful of unhinged Clinton supporters as a counterargument.

In another segment, the textbook lends credence to the Black Lives Matter movement, blaming a “nearly all-white police force” in Ferguson, Missouri, site of the justified Michael Brown shooting, and blamed law enforcement for ‘increasing tensions.’

The textbook is titled, “By The People,” by James W. Fraser, and is targeted toward Advanced Placement high school students in grades 9-12, according to the publisher’s website.
