Amidst the litany of supposed reasons Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election, there’s one excuse we thought we’d never see – a sex tape pushed by Russian trolls.
Indeed, the latest report from NBC News indicates that a Reddit account linked to Russia’s Internet Research Agency pushed a pornographic video claiming to show Clinton engaged in a sex act.
Can I bleach my eyes now?
Ben Collins, the NBC reporter who wrote the story, warned Twitter followers of what was to come.

Crazy, is an understatement.
Collins writes that the video, which features a black man and a Hillary Clinton lookalike, is still available on the internet. A former worker at the Russian troll farm reported the video being made in October 2017, but NBC says the link wasn’t credible until Reddit released usernames involved in posting the video.
The report tries to play up the impact the video may have had on the public, having been viewed over 250,000 times on one site alone.
We can pretty much guarantee one person who didn’t view the video – Slick Willie.

The Daily Beast’s initial report on the video asserts the Russian troll factory workers’ claims shed “even more light on the inner workings of the Russian-sponsored effort to influence U.S. elections.”
No, no they didn’t.
Seriously, did you ever hear of a Hillary Clinton sex tape?
Nickarama at Weasel Zippers writes that the whole thing is “nonsense.”
“No one heard of this,” he added. “And anyone who actually saw it wouldn’t have been able to vote after they went blind and insane from the sight.”
Mockery on the socials was swift, focusing on the notion that a Hillary sex tape could have swayed the election.
