Kevin R. Brock, former assistant director of intelligence for the FBI, penned an op-ed column asserting that the worst is yet to come for James Comey.
Brock’s article, appearing in The Hill, begins by addressing the numerous egregious violations of department policies and protocol that the former FBI Director committed.
Those violations, outlined in the Inspector General report that excoriates Comey for setting “a dangerous example,” include:
- Creating and maintaining a separate record system that Comey kept in a desk drawer.
- Comey took most of those official records home.
- He leaked some of those records to the press after he was fired.
These violations alone were enough for former U.S. attorney Joe diGenova to declare, “in my view, he’s [Comey] a criminal.”
It also prompted President Trump to slam Comey as a “dishonest fool.”
The disastrous IG Report on James Comey shows, in the strongest of terms, how unfairly I, and tens of millions of great people who support me, were treated. Our rights and liberties were illegally stripped away by this dishonest fool. We should be given our stolen time back?

If that weren’t enough of a stain on the former FBI director’s legacy, Brock insists that the IG report only serves as “the first of three cruise missiles trained on Mr. Comey with devastating impact.”
What are the other two?
Brock notes that the IG will be evaluating Comey’s “truthfulness before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court and whether he attested to false or misleading statements” in an effort to conduct surveillance on the Trump campaign.
Beyond that, “the IG’s second report will be findings by U.S. Attorney John Durham whether Comey and his rogue team of investigators violated FBI and departmental guidelines to initiate a counterintelligence investigation into a presidential campaign,” Brock adds.
“They will determine if Comey had adequate justification for launching such an unprecedented investigation.”

In an interview with Tucker Carlson this past May, Brock criticized Comey for not informing the Trump campaign of Russian efforts to interfere while they ran confidential human sources against members of the campaign in an effort to conduct invasive electronic surveillance on them.
These actions, he said, are “not the normal way a counterintelligence investigation is pursued.”
Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Officer(Dem): “In 2016 we had a Coup. We have to take Comey and others to task. Makes no sense not to prosecute him. Comey got a book deal. I fear for my Country. He tried to kneecap our duly elected president, and there are no consequences.” @fox&Fs

Brock continues by suggesting Comey may have colluded with other intelligence community leaders to launch an investigation into the President.
Who are those other leaders? And is it even remotely conceivable that a team of intelligence community leaders could have conducted such an operation without word of it reaching the top tiers of the White House?
“Comey is owed no apology by anyone,” Brock concludes. “Without any further findings, he already has disgraced that noble office.”
“He owes an apology to every FBI employee, past and present, who toiled to win the trust of the American people that he has so severely damaged.”
It will be interesting to see if Comey will ever truly be held accountable for his actions. Right now it appears only President Trump has done the right and just thing by terminating him.
