A 21-year-old DREAMer in an upstate New York high school was arrested after threatening to shoot up students, and a subsequent raid of her home led to the discovery of a shotgun.
Abigail Hernandez posted the threat on the East High School in Rochester Facebook page, announcing, “I’m coming tomorrow morning and I’m going to shoot all of ya bitches.”
She made the threat just two days after a horrific shooting at a Florida high school, but wasn’t arrested until four days later due to the threat going through a fake Facebook account.
Hernandez, according to law enforcement, is an illegal immigrant shielded from deportation through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, and for some unknown reason, was still enrolled at the high school.

“Sadly, in wake of the recent Parkland, Florida tragedy, schools across the country have been grappling with social media threats intended to instill fear and anxiety,” East High School superintendent Shaun Nelms announced.
Hernandez was charged with making a terroristic threat.
Rochester City School District officials were unable to answer as to why Hernandez was still enrolled as a student at East High at the age of 21.
As for her illegal status, that is something former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on in 2014.
“Public school districts have an obligation to enroll students regardless of immigration status and without discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin,” Holder announced via a statement in May of 2014. “The Justice Department will do everything it can to make sure schools meet this obligation.”

Just last month, officials in Rochester poked a thumb in the eye of the Trump Administration, reaffirming their commitment as a so-called ‘sanctuary city’ for illegal immigrants.
“The city of Rochester’s Sanctuary City policy fully complies with federal law,” said city spokesperson Jessica Alaimo. “However, we believe that every Rochesterian deserves their shot at the American Dream.”
Except for those students at the school who may have had their American dream cut short had Hernandez carried out her threat.
