After hearing former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony last week, a top Senate Democrat is calling for an investigation into Loretta Lynch’s influence on the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
Dianne Feinstein, the lead Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced her concerns and the need for a congressional inquiry into the matter.
During his testimony, Comey confessed that Barack Obama’s attorney general had urged him to publicly refer to the scandal as a “matter” and not an “investigation,” something he claimed was ‘confusing and concerning.’
“At one point, the attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me,” Comey said.
Now, Feinstein wants to know if Lynch’s pressuring of the FBI Director, along with her famed meeting with Bill Clinton on the tarmac of a Phoenix airport, amounts to obstruction of justice.

The top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee called Sunday for a congressional investigation into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said she’s concerned by former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony Thursday that Lynch asked him to downplay his “investigation” into the Democratic presidential nominee as merely a “matter.”
Comey said the political request called into the question the credibility of Lynch’s Department of Justice and made him “queasy.”
“I would have a queasy feeling too,” Feinstein admitted Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I think we need to know more about that. And there’s only one way to know about it and that’s to have the Judiciary Committee take a look at that.”
Michael Mukasey, Attorney General serving under President George W. Bush, blasted Lynch for allowing the DOJ to become “an arm of the Clinton campaign.”
“What makes it egregious,” Mukasey explained, “is the fact — and I think it’s obvious that it is a fact — that the attorney general of the United States was adjusting the way the department talked about its business so as to coincide with the way the Clinton campaign talked about that business.”
“In other words, it made the Department of Justice essentially an arm of the Clinton campaign,” he added. “That is a betrayal of the department and of its independence to illustrate that clearly that the attorney general was essentially in the tank for Secretary Clinton.”

Feinstein added that a new probe would be the only way to answer whether or not Lynch provided improper political cover for Clinton.
She also urged her own party to put partisan politics aside and investigate the matter.
“Right now, this is [about] the total integrity of the president of the United States,” Feinstein said. “This is a very big deal. It should be all hands on deck. And everybody should welcome a second committee getting involved, particularly on the technical legal aspects of obstruction of justice.”
Can you imagine if, after everything liberals were hoping for from Comey’s testimony, that it ends up being Loretta Lynch who is charged with obstruction of justice?

She only called for an investigation to make herself look like she’s the white knight and will seek the truth. Yeah. She should’ve done something long before now as far as Lynch, Clinton and Comeys interactions. She’s part of the swamp.
It would be great if something came of these “investigations” and some of these crooks were made to serve some prison time for there crimes against the U.S. There’s no doubt in my mind that we have been fighting a Communist/Socialist take over and we must continue to expose them and stop them or our children’s/grandchildren’s future will go by way of Cuba/Russia/Hungary/Venezuela.

It is not the Republicans or Trump who “Obstructed Justice” prior to the election. It was Bil Clinton, Loretta Lynch. Obama, and finally Comey. They all decided to look the other way when Hillary was clearly in violation of several Laws. Many members of the FBI were furious at Comey letting her off the hook, because they all knew that she had committed crimes with her unsecured E-mail server.

I am sure there are more Democrats that go along with what this woman said to do. That meeting on the airplane with her and lover boy was act that was no good.
It is about time that a Democrat with balls is finally speaking out that there is a rat somewhere and it needs to be found before all the wires are bitten off. They all need to be questioned under oath and then cross examined by Gowdy himself and maybe we might just get to the bottom of how corrupt these people are.
Both the judiciary and intelligence committees need to investigate Lynch, Hillary and Obama and get to the bottom of exactly who did what and to whom in this mess. At this point it’s pretty clear that Trump had no involvement with the Russians that was not “normal government to government business”. And Lynch’s “tarmac conference” with “Slick Willie” at the Phoenix airport at worst has the appearance of impropriety.
In the end, all questions need to be answered and all details need to be covered. Get to it. As Snuffy Smith says, “Time’s a wastin’ “!

Maybe I’ve become a cynic but something seems to be ‘questionable’ about Feinstein wanting an ‘investigation’ into anything related to Democrats. Is this going to be like Comey ‘investigating’ Clinton and her server? The corruption in our country is amazing and more amazing is that people actually hate a man who genuinely wants to get rid of it. The next generation will divide our country in ways we never thought possible.
I knew when Bill met Lynch on the tarmac, that someone was being bought and paid for. They need to look and see if Lynch bought stock or put a large sun of money in the bank.
It’s about time someone, anyone to start the ball rolling about Lynch, Hillary, Bill and Comey investigation. Just hope it follows thru to an indictment and convictions for all.

It might be the one and only time I agree with Feinstein. There should be a thorough investigation of Lynch, Holder when he was in office etc.
The significant outcome was that Comey acquiesced to Lych’s request in spite of his queeziness. His “confusion and concern” don’t appear to have been even handed with respect to his handling of Clinton and Trump do they? Hmmmm I think it will be fascinating to see if both Lynch and Comey are charged.
I have to give Diane Feinstein credit for making a decision that was based on fact even though it put the spotlight on her own party. I have gained some respect for her!

This is the second that I know of. First time – As part of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Feinstein was briefed at the CIA headquarter on all classified information on the Trump/Russia investigation. Immediately after, in an interview with Wolf Blitzer, she was asked: “Do you believe, do you have evidence that there was in fact collusion between Trump associates and Russia during the campaign?” Feinstein replied succinctly, “Not at this time”. This was in contrast to her fellow Dems who were and still are, despite Comey stating otherwise under oath, that there is proof (though they have no evidence).
