Democrat Sheriff Alludes To Killing Gun Owners – Forced To Pay The Consequences!

A Democrat candidate for sheriff in North Carolina got into a bit of hot water when he joked that he’d be willing to pry guns from law-abiding citizens’ “cold, dead hands.”

Video of R. Daryl Fisher making the comments at a gun control meeting organized by Moms Demand Action, an extremist anti-Second Amendment group, quickly went viral.

While some sites suggested Fisher’s comments indicated a willingness to kill gun owners, the reality is that Fisher joked about waiting until they died to pry their firearms away from them.

We’re not sure that’s much better.

“Don’t believe the scare tactics, because you’ve heard people say, ‘You’ll have to pry my gun from my cold, dead hands,'” Fisher says at the meeting.

He then shrugs, “OK … Whenever you pass away, we’ll come get it.”

Fisher quickly clarified that he was “joking just a little bit there.”

The comments come at about the 3:04 mark …

Understand that while he does quantify that by saying after the person dies their guns would be confiscated, the long pause in between allows gun-grabbers in the audience to cheer and applaud the notion that he might be willing to proactively seize the guns by killing a law-abiding citizen.

Fisher complained that a clip circulating online in which it is cut off after he says “ok” was taken out of context. He has himself to blame for that. Whether he meant it or not, the message was received by his supporters who delighted at the possibility.

Fisher has since issued an apology.

“There is one statement that many up to now have taken offense to … I admit the joke was a mistake and I should not have joked,” he said on his Facebook page.

He added, the government “cannot take away any guns or any items that were legally sold before any new laws take effect.”

Even joking about waiting for gun owners to die is absurd. But this is how the far-left thinks.

A fairly recent panel gathered by MSNBC opined that Second Amendment supporters were ‘old and crusty,’ with one panelist even expressing hope that these conservatives were “going to thankfully die off.”

Fisher tried to reassure gun owners after his ill-advised joke.

“Responsible gun owners have nothing to worry about,” he said. “We have to do something different because what has been done is not working.”

Gun owners know they have nothing to worry about. They have the Constitution to guarantee that.
