President Obama has been labeled sexist for referring to Senator Elizabeth Warren by her first name … and it wasn’t by a Republican.
On one hand, it’s surprising that a Democrat would criticize Obama. On the other hand – of course it was a Democrat who resorted to cries of sexism.
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) claims Obama’s response to Warren’s criticism of his trade bill – a bill that was blocked by Democrats on Tuesday – may have been different if a “male senator” were involved.
Brown also insinuated that the President would not have referred to Senator Warren by her first name – he called her ‘Elizabeth’ – if she were a male.
via The Blaze:
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) told reporters on Tuesday that President Barack Obama was “disrespectful” in his response to political attacks from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and alleged he may have chosen his words differently if a “male senator” were involved.
Huffington Post reporter Ryan Grim reported Brown’s remarks on Twitter:
“I think the president was disrespectful to her by the way he did that…made this more personal.” – Sen. Brown on Obama’s Warren attacks

More Brown: “I think referring to her as her first name, when he might not have done that for a male senator, perhaps–I’ve said enough.”

This probably comes as no surprise, since liberal feminists have already begun arguing that calling Hillary Clinton ‘Hillary’ is also sexist.
That said, Brown’s accusations amount to nothing more than the typical shoot-first-aim-later response from Democrats. Proof?
Here is audio of the President repeatedly referring to Harry Reid as ‘Harry’ in a radio call-in.
Is this a sign of disrespect or just another liberal pot-stirring?
