Democratic Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax, who has been accused of sexual assault, claimed during a debate on Tuesday that former Democrat Governor Terry McAuliffe treated him like George Floyd and Emmitt Till over the accusations.

Fairfax said that what happened to Floyd was “horrific.”

The Lt. Gov. made his controversial comments during the Democratic debate in the Virginia governor’s race.

Lt. Gov. Fairfax: ‘He Treated Me Like George Floyd’

Then he said regarding accusations against himself, “It recalls a history in Virginia and in our nation, where African Americans, and in particularly African American men, are presumed to be guilty, are treated inhumanely, are given no due process and have their lives impacted, and in some cases taken away, in an instant.”

Fairfax continued, “And I think that in the interest of speaking truth to power here … we have a real world example, where I was falsely accused in 2019 [of sexual assault]… everyone here on the stage called for my immediate resignation including Terry McAuliffe minutes after the press release came out.”

“He treated me like George Floyd, he treated me like Emmett Till, no due process, immediately assumed my guilt,” Fairfax said.

Terry McAuliffe was formerly the Governor of Virginia, head of the DNC, and is very close with the Clintons. He was co-chair of Bill’s 1996 campaign, and Hillary’s 2008 campaign.

Fairfax Accused Of Sexual Assault In Two Separate Cases In 2019

CBS News reported in 2019 that Fairfax was accused of sexual assault for two separate incidents.

Fairfax denied the allegations at the time and said he was simply the target of a smear campaign.

One accuser, Meredith Watson, alleged Fairfax “did things you shouldn’t do to someone without their permission” after locking the door to her dorm room.

Watson said the alleged intimate interaction was “not consensual” and believed she was “raped.”

CBS News reported that the other accuser, Vanessa Tyson, said Fairfax forced her to perform non-consensual sexual acts.

George Floyd died during an arrest in Minneapolis in 2020 that led to nationwide protests and street violence in the name of fighting police brutality.

Emmett Till was murdered in 1955 for allegedly flirting with a white woman.

The husband and brother of the woman in question, Carolyn Bryant, tortured 14-year-old Till, removed his eye, and shot him. His corpse found tied in barbed wire at the Tallahatchie River in Mississippi.

Bryant later admitted that her story wasn’t entirely true
