Marketing executive Tiffany Gomas went viral last month after she was caught having a disturbing meltdown on an airplane. Now, she has broken her silence to address this incident publicly for the first time.

Gomas Breaks Her Silence

Daily Mail reported that Gomas, 38, was caught on camera storming off a flight from Dallas to Orlando on July 2, infamously saying “that motherfu**er is not real” as she did so. After deleting all of her social media accounts, she resurfaced for the first time this week to post an apology for her behavior.

“I apologize and take accountability for my actions, they were uncalled for,” Gomas wrote on Twitter. “My very worst moment was captured on video.”

“Although the memes have been amusing, the flip-side has been cruel. I’m thankful for my friends and family for supporting me through this,” she added. “This experience has been life-altering and I hope to do good from it and promote positive mental health. Stay tuned!”

‘Things Go Viral And Everything Changes’

Gomas posted this alongside a video in which she addressed the controversy.

“Hi everyone, it’s me – Tiffany Gomas, better known as the crazy plane lady. Which is completely warranted,” she said. “As you know, I have been unwilling to speak on the viral video, but I do finally feel that it’s time. My life has been blown up. It’s frightening. Things go viral and everything changes.”

“First and foremost, I want to take full accountability for my actions,” Gomas explained. “They were completely unacceptable. Distressed or not, I should have been in control of my emotions, and that was not the case. My use of profanity was completely unnecessary and I want to apologize to everyone who was on that plane, especially those who had children aboard.”

Gomas went on to say that she could not imagine “going through that and trying to explain to your kid what in the world just happened.”

In the disturbing viral video, Gomas could be seen telling her fellow passengers, “I’m getting the f*** off and there’s a reason…. I’m telling you right now that motherf***er back there is not real and you can sit on this plane, and you can die with them or not. I’m not going to.”

Gomas was eventually escorted off the plane and while police gave her a warning for Criminal Trespass, she was neither charged nor taken into custody.

‘They’re Staking Out My House’

In an interview from her home in Dallas this week, Gomas said, “No one knows anyone else’s story, and no one should judge. No one knows what it’s like.”

“They’re staking out my house. They’re staking out my neighbors. They’re going through my mail,” she said. “So much of what’s out there is inaccurate.”

When asked to give specific examples of this, however, Gomas declined to elaborate.

Gomas reportedly lives in a $1.6million luxury four-bedroom property complete with a swimming pool. She bought the home in January of last year for $572,530 before renovating it completely.

The initial video of Gomas on the plane continues to be disturbing to millions of social media users all over the world. While we’re glad to see that she appears to be doing alright, there are still many unanswered questions about what really led to her meltdown.

Only time will tell if the truth ever comes out.
